Sydney lounge not fully open until March 2013

Best part about the beer selection; there is one. A wide variety of tastes can be satisfied and a variety of thirsts can be quenched. Lounge looks typically sleek. Looking forward to having a proper Capt. Cook at it in a fortnight's time.

Flying BNE-MSP (Minneapolis) in Y+, cannot be booked?

Tried the old fashioned approach of hanging up and ringing back a few hours later to see if a different staff member could be reached who would provide a different response. Success. The actual transaction that was arranged was: The purchase of a fully flexible Y ticket BNE-MPS via LAX...

Flying BNE-MSP (Minneapolis) in Y+, cannot be booked?

FWIW that is precisely my suspicion too. This would explain the lack of consistent responses to queries and their inability to handle things like this which should be straight forward and routine.

Flying BNE-MSP (Minneapolis) in Y+, cannot be booked?

Greetings flyers, Just how deep is the rabbit hole into which Virgin have sunk? At the moment a colleauge of mine is attempting to book a flight from Brisbane to Minneapolis in Premium Economy in late July, connecting through LAX (of course). After two hours on the phone and talking to two...

Two for one 2FOR1 flights on the Flyer Visa Credit Card when both pax hold CCs

Rezzing this thread - the problem is well and truly back with a vengeance post Sabre. I currently have "-1" available 2FOR1CC flights where I should have 1 owing to me. The two flights that I took in Jan booked by my mother on her Flyer Visa has incorrectly taken the flights from my card as well...

    AFF Status Runs Spreadsheet

I try not to pipe up unless I've got something useful to say... which I didn't really in this case but had to say it anyway. Only 207 more sleeps until Oktoberfest.

    AFF Status Runs Spreadsheet

Gentlemen, The spreadsheet is one of the greatest things this forum has ever contrived of. Supremely useful, dynamic, secret, excellent functionality (especially in being able to compare apples with apples with regard to Points vs $ vs SCs etc)., the superlatives go on. Congratulations.

Europcar at Tullamarine Airport - Onsite or shuttle?

Yeah that was my mistake - I actually searched for "Tullamarine" and all that comes up is the Tullamarine off-site airport pick up. Funnily enough, Melbourne Airport does not come up at all as a nearby pick up location even with Tullamarine searched. Ergo my confusion. Anyway, just have to...

    Virgin Flyer 2-For-1

Re: Check you actually get the two-for-one price I successfully booked two for ones OOL -MEL in Business Saver this afternoon in just 18 mins total. Not bad all things considered. An hour later, I rang up and made a small change to the flight time, changing them to a flight earlier, and...

Virgin money 2 for1 bug fixed or not?

Agreeing - appears to be fixed, booked flights OOL-MEL last month for travel this weekend using 2FOR1CC, came off the primary card holder's account (who put through the booking) and didn't also go against my own 2FOR1CC available. In the past, when both pax input their velocity numbers, and both...

Virgin "Business" from Bali to brisbane

Forgive my thread necromancy. I am considering booking a flexi BNE-DPS and doing a points upgrade but wanted to get something clear: I have flown on the new BSI fitted business class services domestically with Virgin a dozen times or so - new wide grey leather seats, heaps of room in the 2x2...

Points upgrades on International Long Haul Intl. Anyone have any success?

Since introducing this benefit as detailed here: https://www.velocityrewards.com.au/content/ProgramBenefits/TermsConditions/index.htm#13 has anyone had any success in using their points to do any upgrading? With no evidence at all, I suspect that the seats available to be upgraded to are...
