What's the deal with Air North flying Virgin routes?

Oops...my bad looking at the thread title (Airnorth) and not reading the post (Alliance). Having said that, the F70/F100 are generally fairly decent with both the pitch and legroom...and 2-3 isn't a bad configuration either. My question still stands...

What's the deal with Air North flying Virgin routes?

Dare I ask what's cramped and unpleasant about an E190 as opposed to a 737-800?

I'm in the VA Lounge thread

In SYD lounge until VA989, can guest two. On the menu tonight, Chipotle chicken sliders with onion rings, vegetable biriyani with samosas, or chicken and corn soup. Not a bad layout tonight and lounge is about half-full.

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

I won't hold my breath on that getting fixed any time soon.... 😑 Thankfully we just pushed back. 1930ish out of BNE = 2200 into SYD I guess...

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

Departing BNE now, so ETA into SYD is looking like 2100-ish. [Edit] it gets better - now a 20 minute delay due to ATC shortages in Brisbane 😑

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

Cabin crew said apparently CBR wasn't an option, and we'd been over CFS before the decision to head back. Pretty murky here at BNE too..

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

Onboard VA954 at the moment...departed 80" late courtesy of unknown reasons (although weather in BNE has been poor today), then turned back to BNE after an hour in the air as SYD is closed due to storms 😑 3pm (958) and 4pm (962) BNE-SYD services were cancelled as well - and 5pm (970) is showing...

    General Virgin Australia Lounge Discussion

FYI a reasonable amount of Somersby in the fridge at BNE today.

I'm in the VA Lounge thread

In BNE lounge for an hour (or until 954 departs...), can guest 2. Turkey and cranberry on long rolls, fruit mince tarts, split pea soup on offer today. Quite quiet, which is always good :)

    VA Cancellations, Delays growing?

Email received from Virgin Business Flyer just now: Hi Mr Hawk, As a valued partner, your loyalty is important to us, and we want you to have confidence and peace of mind when you and your team travel with Virgin Australia. Late yesterday, we were pleased to reach an in-principle agreement...

No VA flight numbers on UA BNE-LAX?

That'd sad to hear, especially considering QF's poor product and timing on BNE-LAX.

    General Virgin Australia Lounge Discussion

I gave up on Lounge cider when they brought back Somersby and nothing else post-administration. The red was passable, however I guess I'll have to give it a try on Christmas Eve (next trip)...

The Velocity Status Run Master thread

Yerp...unfortunately not a chance for this little Australian-born, bred and parented black duck. :| Unfortunately so. Hopefully the return of some of the China-based airlines may help with this over the next 12 months...

Spend your Velocity points on everyday purchases?

Received a survey from Velocity this morning, essentially asking for whether I'd be keen to use my Velocity Points on everyday purchases, via a "Points + Pay card". The rate in the survey was 1,667 Points for a $10 discount. Needless to say, I marked it as extremely unlikely that I'd use it and...
