Just found this online via flighthacks.com.au and at Accor Plus and Accor Business Plus Pay $140 Aud for this ibis buisness card and you get upgraded instantly to Gold + 800 points. Better than paying $355, or whatever they are asking us to pay now onto top of what Amex pays them. Save money...

Essentially Amex has paid Accor for the Accor plus membership and then if we want gold we have to pay an additional $355. Looks like I may end up paying for gold as I need to book a couple different stays for friends and myself early next year. Hopefully they will credit points for the friends...

...or cancel the partnership and in that case you would be forced to transfer to KF.

Got a call from Accor plus in reference to an email I sent asking to pay for membership to get platinum status back. Advised that I can pay for Accor Plus and get Silver status...which was confusing since I'm currently Silver due to amex. Went back and forth for a bit and eventually it clicked...

Why stop now? Why not wait until March to stop using then transfer points across? As someone else mentioned, you can get nearly 4-5 years of value before expiry. But just remember with KF (not sure with others) you can extend your points by 6-12 months depending on status. No status cost 1,200...

May I ask what the outcome was? Did you end up keeping Platinum Accor status? I would rather pay to keep platinum than not pay and get free useless silver. Well check attached email from PP. Really don't know what to say about this. I questioned them on the phone whether my PP allowed one free...

I've just skimmed the thread and it appears no one has been able to get their platinum accor status reinstated? I just noticed mine go from plat to silver, which is a bummer. Gonna try and call up later today to see if I can get it reinstated otherwise no real reason to stay at accor now...

Just a curious question re: Infant pricing. I'm looking to book a trip to Europe next year around june/july, which is when bubs turns 2. If bubs if 1 y.o. when we leave to Europe, but turns 2 while we are overseas, would we have to pay a full fare/adult redemption for bubs on the way back?

hmmm, I haven't received any emails yet. My original ticket has Suites/First Class (O) but it doesn't show the aircraft type anymore. On my past tickets they all show aircraft type.
