Krisflyer miles refunds - Taking forever! Anyone else with this problem?

As per emails from SQ and responses here, general wait time is 4-6 weeks. It probably did take less time before covid hit, but I assume it's due to the massive amounts of refunds/cancellations they are doing for all flights globally, 4-6 weeks is the norm for now.

    Redemption cancellation

Just received email confirmation they will cancel and send refund request to australian office to process. It will take 4 months to process due to the large amount of request at the moment. Is 4 months, pretty much in the next financial year, still a long time, even with the large amount of...

    Redemption cancellation

Just got a call today from SQ asking about our flight on 20th April and whether we wanted to rebook dates for open ticket or full refund, for 3 redemption and 1 commercial infant ticket. They did say refund will take a while. Like most people, it's just too difficult and risky to rebook for any...

    SQ service reductions during May

:)My flight on SQ336 SIN-CDG on 21st Apr has now been officially cancelled. Time to start cancelling my other flights and hope Pullman CDG give me a refund 🤞. Was just waiting for Sq to do something before I committed to cancelling the entire trip. If a lot more countries adopt the 14 day...

    SQ service reductions during May

Well, I think you would really only need travel insurance for medical if you are overseas, but most, if not all, don't cover for these en/epi/pandemics. "Most" airlines and accomodation suppliers are offering full refund and fee waivers or a large chunk of it back. There was also news that...

    SQ service reductions during May

We're doing MEL-SIN-CDG-BCN-MAD-CDG-SIN-MEL in mid-Apr till mid-may. Our CDG-SIN flight was cancelled and they rescheduled us to the following day, which I accepted. We have only booked one night accomodation in CDG for transit to BCN and was holding out till closer to book to see how...

    SQ service reductions during May

Our trip to Europe (mainly Spain, few days in Paris and couple day stopover in SIN) is from mid April to mid May and I have only booked award flights to\from CDG. The only accomodation booked is for an overnighter at CDG and now I'm probably going to delay booking accom to see what unfolds in...

    Book the Cook

Have a look at the Sqtalk forum as well. I would have to say BTC meals, along with any meals on flights are not consistent. So one review may suggest one meal is amazing but it really depends on how well it was cooked pre-flight and how well it's cooked during flight.

Fewer Suites, but larger and plusher coming....

IMO, if flying solo then New R > Old R. If flying with companion then Old R > New R. I prefer the Old R, but in saying that, I do value the new R toilets as the extra space gives you room to stretch change into PJs properly. But I do agree there is too much space in the toilets and it's uneccesary.

    SQ service reductions during May

On the phone with SQ call centre and managed to swap the 12 May flight to 13 May for the same flight Sq 335. Initially 13 May was all Waitlisted, but call centre operator had to get the ok from higher ups to release the WL seats for 3 pax (have them released to her). I assume, having the flight...

    SQ service reductions during May

Only saw A350/777 via FRA/MUC/ZRH. No 380 at all. Didn't see any option via LHR, as I assume there's no direct *A between CDG and LHR.

    SQ service reductions during May

Just saw the email about flight reschedule and shot off email asking what happens if we decline. Then saw this post. 12th May CDG-SIN SQ335 rescheduled to 11th May for same time. I also got another email at the same time for Seat changes from 3c to 2a for the same flight, Sq335, for the same...

Important Login Changes to Your KrisFlyer Membership Account

Just tried to change my password as I had capslock on when typing my new password. The SQ website is sooooooo frustrating! Tried changing password but error came up saying I had to make a new Phone pin before I could change password. Tried to add/change Phone Pin but then another error came up...

I prefer pin for the phone app. A lot easier to enter if it's just 6 numbers rather than 8-16 characters inc upper case and special character.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

So I just searched MEL-SIN for June 2020 in F and saw SQ208/207 available for redemption. Checked other dates and pretty much from 28th of March onwards all SQ208 flights are on 777 and F is available. Does anyone know why? Is this just a temp change?

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I'm pretty sure the program will never go away, in the forseable future. Correct me if I'm wrong but they just set expiry periods for the vouchers so you can't go hoarding them like you could in the good ol days. That means vouchers will expire at the end of the current period and can't be used...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Looking at April/May 2020 THere's plenty of Sq318 x2 savers but thats on the 777. I'd rather fly the a380 if we are going to fly for that long and that far and hence impossible to find 2x saver on the a380.

Need help booking 3 F seats to Europe (arrive LHR and dep CDG). I've worked out that I'll need to book 1x Saver and 2x Advantage seats to get the 3 F award seats. Do I just book the 1xSaver seat first then hope/assume that there's still 2x Advantage seats left to book once I've taken up the...
