QF F lounge Closures in '06 (Sydney & Melbourne)

Hopefully that is only to check you have enough time to eat before boarding and not to keep track of consumption. Just imagine you get given a bill on the way out!

And transfer process at MAN isn't quite as unpleasant - then again not easy to do that on OW either thanks to London Airways.

Avoiding UK is also easy on *A, except for those few times actually need to visit there. *A hubs in Europe include FRA, MUC, MXP, ZRH, GVA, VIE, WAW, CPH, ARN, BCN, MAD, HEL, ZAG, LJU. Plenty of choices.

Thanks Jason. Never mind work, please get to the important stuff (ie booze). I should be able to compare directly in a week and a half (visits to both MEL & SYD F lounges by then).

    A380 gets suites, flat beds

As long as the water is not being brought through security in NZ, ie brought from airside, no limit applies (within baggage allowances).

    "Abusive Overcharging in Europe"

There are, IMHO, a number of possible stories that could have been written - need to be careful reading rules - whether the charges are reasonable But a tirade against the airline for his own laziness is not a good story.

    Meeting / Conference Rooms

That rate is ridiculous. A full day's hire should be less than that (including equipment). Qantas Club meeting rooms go for $100 an hour (max $600), but you need to be flying QF same day.

    A380 gets suites, flat beds

As long it is the lower deck(s) used to hold the water, not the upper :p

Wrong shape and the economy pax tend to complain about the balls being bounced off their heads. Now, 10 pin bowling OTOH. Just need to be sure that each adjacent lane is working in the opposite direction ;)

Nothing a quick trans-tasman run can't fix. We have plenty of water.

    Carry on Luggage

Different security rules in different countries is also annoying. What was perfectly safe and allowed on the inbound flight suddenly becomes unsafe on the flight connecting to.

    Carry on Luggage

Ah I was referring to at the same airport, at the same time, having different rules. Yes I have seen at LHR one security line requiring shoes off while the one next to it shoes can stay on. Daft. If you really had something dodgy in your shoes which line do you think you'd choose?
