I'm booked on Sq218 on 30th July which was the a380, but just had a look tonight and all the planes for Sq218 around that time is now the 777. Do they normally advise you by email if they change planes?

Just doing my BTC for flight on Sunday and noticed that they have the inflight menu loaded on the BTC screen for you to decide if you want the inflight menu or BTC. Is this a new thing? Never really noticed it on previous bookings.

Just be away certain flights will be cheaper off booking thru VA (assuming you already have VA points to spend) and also possibly cheaper taxes. Check the pointshack for a range of examples. 2. As others have said, each transfer between SQ <--> VA you will always loose points in the...

I'm currently in the same situation. Need to book BKK-SIN-MEL with a 3 day stopover in SIN. If searching up each segment, they are all available, but when searching up as "one/married segment" then SIN-MEL becomes waitlist. However there are other flights available on that day but need to book...

The burger on it's own isn't too bad, but the foie gras made it oh so much better. Such a shame it's not on the menu anymore.

Ahh, did not know that. However, as the infant needs to obviously travel with an adult, there's still tax to be paid, but it does help knowing you don't have to fork out extra for the infant, besides the fare of ticket.

I just booked an infant return F ticket MEL-LHR in august this year for $1300. Also remember, LHR has a high departure tax. So it's probably cheaper if leaving elsewhere in Europe. You could just do a fake booking for 1 adult and 1 infant on the days and cities you want to travel to/fro to...

I thought that you could get the call centre to add a WL (new or existing) onto a current itinerary regardlless if it was OW/Return? The new fees mean that it will cost $75 to cancel an award/redeposit miles, whereas $25 will get you a change of date/route/fare/cabin class. It seems cheaper...

Just a question re: Stopovers with Saver OW vs Ret. Is it worth it booking 2 separate OW tickets and pay for a stopover or book a Saver return ticket and get a free stopover? Was the benefits of booking 2 separate OW tickets just the flexibility? Will it be any different once the new fee...

Fewer Suites, but larger and plusher coming....

Well, isn't it the same issue with the current/old suites? Single pax booking the middle suites? Also, if you don't mine my asking, did you manage to book Saver awards for the new suites?

    Redemption Booking Partner Airlines

yeah didn't get a chance during the day. Called up and they said there is availability MEL-SIN-DPS and vice versa but it's not as much as booking through SQ direct. However most flights were available if there was a Saver fare on SQ website. Just can't book through velocity for Standard fare...

    Redemption Booking Partner Airlines

Trying to book DPS-MEL via SIN and was wondering can I book SQ J tickets through VA? I searched SIN-MEL ok on the VA site for the Sq flight, but no sq flights came up for DPS-MEL, only VA flights.

Booking SQ reward flights through Velocity

I just did a search today for J SIN-MEL on 2nd April and found a few SQ flights with SQ flight numbers. Tried to Search J DPS-MEL but only VA flight, no SQ flights.

New fare types on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights

It looks to me like they are just changing the name but mileage cost remains the same for both Saver and Standard/Advantage. The only thing really affecting us are the changes in fees, which I guess is the "enhancement" in this latest round of changes. Fees for award tickets and redemption upgrades

I'm looking at flights in late March/early April MEL-SIN. When looking for J seats I can see Sq218, but when looking for F seats on the same day, Sq218 doesn't even show up. Does this just mean no availability at all in Saver & Standard on that day for that flight? I thought they just normally...

SQ Book the Cook - issued

Had lobster ex-Mel in F and it didn't look terribly appealing but taste a lot. The missus had the lobster SIN-SGN in J and it looked a lot better than mine in F, but tasted just NQR. Had Wagyu sirloin SIN-MEL in F and it was probably cooked to medium. I prefer rare to medium rare. Would have...

Snagged 2, for missus and I, bubs was an infant paid ticket (10% of adult fare + applicable taxes etc) You may be able to book 2 saver awards and 2 standard awards?

    Suites savers now available

Just flew into MEL on the first Suites flights for Dec last night. The missus, bubs and I had the whole cabin to ourselves. Service was impeccable. These seats were available as saver awards up to a month before the flight, but then became waitlisted. It was only a week before the flight that...
