    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

The part which will need clarification is the timeline for "rebooking" your flight to further extend the points and the limit on how many times you can rebook.

On another note, I'm looking at SIN-MEL for 2020 and Sq217 only has a380 for Jan then the rest of the year until the last viewable date is 777. Any news on a change back to a380?

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

If you transffered at the start of the year then you would have essentially up to 3-5 years expiry wouldn't you? Forgot how it exactly works, as I'm sure one of the SQ gurus can clarify the exact method. IIRC you can essentially book flight 355 days in advance (3 years + 355 days) then change...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Oh wow I did not even think about JAL. I was purely just thinking SQ points and how can I use it as my preference on flying is with SQ so I was thinking of the ways to get to HNL with SQ miles, So my plan of MEL-SIN-NRT-HNL seemed great, but now it seems impossible. Original plan was Hawaii...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I'm looking at at Japan/Hawaii trip and was thinking of doing MEL-SIN-NRT-HNL via SQ and ANA, and possibly try their new A380 F seats to HNL if possible. I hear they haven't released the F seats to awards yet but will soon, but may have to just book J to HNL if F isn't being released in the near...

    Business or First

Re: Alcohol First class you're looking at wines/champagnes that range $150-350ish Business class wines/champagnes range from $30-70 roughly? Economy class wines? I don't know, maybe $5-10? Regardless of alcohol, you should be drinking water/fluids to keep hydrated in the air and that's going to...

Did SIN-DPS few weeks ago and missed my flight from DPS-SIN, which was booked on the new 787. $300USDx2 later, I'm booked later that night luckily as I had a SIN-HKG flight the next morning. Silly me thought our flight was at 8pm when it was actually at 1pm. Anwwho, upon rocking up to DPS, we...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

We've done a few F flights with the little one. She loves climbing over that middle barrier in the double suites. So trying out the new suites with all that space for her to jump up and climb over the beds should help tire herself out. Oh wow up until 3? So I assume MasterC had his own seat...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Doing MEL-HKG in a week and will be doing MEL-SIN (& SIN-MEL) in 777 and then the HKG legs in the new suites. Looking forward to experiencing the new suites. Will have our 22 month old with us, so hoping the extra space will be enough for her to run around in and climb up and down.

New RewardPay Rates are not really good enough

It's so cringeworthy reading that post on b2bpay website.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

But for the explorer, it's like a once a year pass? Thought Amex lounges are cutting access to just plat and cent cardholders? or is that just the Centurion lounges only? Will that also take on the existing credit limit?

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

I wonder if you can Balance transfer (the credit limit or majority of it) to another card (i.e. Dragon)? or Even to get another Dragon card. I've never done a balance transfer so does it require a full credit application?

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

I guess the specials/Buy x nights get 1 free deals are good, but now that explorer is basically useless, why pay $395 to get a $400 travel credit so you're $5 ahead? What other benefits is there for the explorer card, which makes it worthwhile keeping when it's not being used for points earn?

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

i will probably cancel mine. The rates for Amex hotels is slightly, if not, substantially more than booking direct in a lot of cases. So not worth it imo.

New RewardPay Rates are not really good enough

They must be going based off everyone else's rates as well but slightly beating it. I, also, will stop using RP until they improve their rates. Looks like Amex spend is going to take a massive dip. Will need to apply for credit limit increase on my dragon.

Isn't the issue the transfer rate (being halved) rather than earn rate changing on 15th of April?
