Not much choice about the matter due to the curvature in the nose section. I suppose A380 will be spared this with the coughpit taking up the most forward bit (between upper and middle decks). Where the cabin starts will be further back where curvature is less.
Looks like a sky team RTW. There are also various airline specific RTWs that include some or all of these airlines. Which works best depends on what you need/want.
Also rear middle seats in zone A and on some aircraft the front part of the overhead bins are used for life raft (737 long overwater flights, 747 antarctic overflights), safety equipment, crew bags, supplies (blankets, pillows, amenity kits) etc.
you get to bypass the security checks which means you can take as much water as you like
of course, this may only help if the flight is short - cardboard tends to not react well to liquid secretions
Ah but that isn't your locker. It is for everyone, to hang jackets, store shoes, etc. Would you move any jackets already hanging to make room for your carry on?
That's one reason I take an aisle seat - if needing to get stuff in or out of my carry on.
Even better is when the seat is both an aisle and a window seat at the same time ;)
