Some 'friendly fire' on QF economy menu

Just don't know how hard one meat and one plant based option can be to sort out?!

Anyone flying internationally over the next few days who can check out the conversion to Centurion Lounges?

    DXB-SYD/PER routes in Oct 2023

They don't necessarily always release seats, indeed often Emirates haven't released any at all of late. Or they might release some down the line. If you're trying to get back from LHR and can't find anything LHR - SYD, you could go into multi city and do LHR - CMB and CMB - SYD (Sri Lankan) or...

Flight cancellation help requested: Qantas Classic Reward seat via Qatar Airways

The problem is a lot of the time there isn't that time before departure to get this sorted. Taking three months won't suit every circumstance - it certainly didn't suit mine when Cathay cancelled three weeks before especially given the Xmas break and call centres jammed due to Omicron travel...

Flight cancellation help requested: Qantas Classic Reward seat via Qatar Airways

Yep, EU261 is about "right to choose" between the three options and the 14 day rule is about compensation *not* enforcement of this rule. That said, it can be very hard getting airlines to comply with it. Cathay cancelled my QF rewards flight in late December last year from MAN - HKG - MEL but...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

This same thing happened to me about two months ago. They didn't debit the 318,000 points yet, so as it stands I've got a RTW ticket for 0 points and about $1500...

Very few Reward seats to Europe in 2023

One decent hack is doing multi city QF MEL - DEL / SYD - BLR then a BA flight to LHR from there. Doesn't show up in the searches without doing it manually and will cost a few more points given different airlines but worth a look. QF release a lot more seats on this route than others. Also Sri...

Do not accept the bullshit about it not being ticketed until next year. Keep calling until it gets ticketed.

Thought I’d post my OWA. All in J of course. Taxes about $1500, LHR added on a fair bit of course but family are in U.K. and didn’t want to piss around going through other airports! I did have to cheat a bit on this one though… MEL - NRT HND - JFK JFK - GRU - GIG (cheated - LATAM with 85k...

It's completely fair for them to take this. As I said I've booked a OWA which seems to have been accidentally refunded 318,000 points meaning 0 points booking, but if Qantas take the points from my account at any time before now and departure I'll be disappointed on a personal level but can't...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

The thing with mine is that there was no ostensible reason to credit the 318,000 points back to my account after they debited it. They credited the 194,500 for the first two legs of my booking which had been ticketed a few weeks before, then debited 318,000 which should have been the end of...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Yep, I got GRU - DXB - SIN - MEL in EK F for 144,000 points (rather than 192,000 points as it was then) due to an error like this. Didn't get corrected! This would be an even bigger bargain though...

But payment has been taken in the form of taxes and fees. Ticketing has also formally occurred. It's the points allocation which is the issue. I can't see JAL (carriers of my first flight) suddenly turning me away at check in with a valid ticket number because Qantas didn't allocate my QFF...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Question…I reserved my seats on a OWA weekend before last. I then have spent almost every day calling up to try and get it ticketed. I called up Friday and said they were finalising the points, I called up today and was told the points were finalised. It has been ticketed. I have the email with...

Wonder if people can help with this - was completing my OWA with flights from LHR - CMB on UL504 J on 23/9/23 and CMB - MEL UL604 J on 03/10/23. Looked on the Qantas website and they were available. Could book the LHR - CMB and CMB - MEL on those dates online under the same booking, didn't get...

What do people think about Sri Lankan as part of OWA? Pretty good availability to LHR via CMB from Australia, some internal political strife but doesn't seem to have caused much flight disruption?

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

This is British Airways followed by a Malaysian flight so shouldn't be an issue - I've tried dummy booking it for another date and it goes through to the final payment page so can't see there being a problem! It's probably the long layover which is one reason it's not shown - almost 24 hours.

Suspected as much - even this is almost a "hack" given it doesn't show up when you search LHR - KUL (maybe because of the 20hr connection).

Anyone finding any decent J seats from UK/Europe to the Far East (Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand) for Aug/Sept next year? The only route I can find available I'm having to book LHR - BLR/BOM on BA (though these are Club Suites routes!) then Malaysian from either of those cities to KUL. Even that...
