QFF Silver, called late afternoon today and got straight through with no wait to the call centre to add on a booking to my itinerary (JL6 HND - JFK 24/8/23). I had to wait about 30 mins on the phone whilst he sorted everything out but that was fine. Very easy!

Booked QF4 on points plane. JFK - AKL - SYD Friday 16th June. Bit annoying that the trip back basically kills a NYC weekend though, would've preferred a Sunday departure even if it meant getting back Tuesday morning. Not 100% sure I'll go, will see if any of my UK friends fancy a trip to NYC...

My QF17 flight SYD to LAX has been cancelled on 12th August too. Got re-routed via AKL instead, at least they found me an Air NZ J seat I guess. Wonder what the reason is for all these transatlantic cancellations?!

Thanks for the reply. Won't be exceeding 11 sectors thankfully. Can the first flight be booked online as a normal Qantas Classic Reward then get added to by phone for the remaining sectors? Or does it have to begin life as a OWA?

Important to remember QF status only helps you for QF inventory. Vast majority of possibilities on QFF won't be with QF anyway especially given how stingy they are giving out seats to even higher status flyers - so what you'll be similar to everyone else.

Flying Qantas F on QF1 a week on Monday. Expectations aren't high for food and drink but is it still set mealtimes in F? Or can I get dishes at any time? Maybe I've been spoiled by QR J and other F flights eg Emirates before, but I was hoping I could dine anytime on such a long flight...

They're better off not putting beef fillet on the menu, especially given people will see Neil Perry and assume they're getting something which is at least the closest a plane can get to Rockpool. Anyway thanks for the heads up!

Thanks! I'm flying QF1 F to London in June, not expecting that much good but wanted to experience it once! Classic Reward too. Was there any pink in the beef fillet at all? Always a risk of getting a well done steak when ordering beef on planes...

Yep I've got KrisFlyer. There's some limited availability on ORD - GRU in United Polaris for only 55k KF (bargain for a 10hr flight!) so considering biting the bullet doing that for that particular segment.
