I stayed in Sri Panwa two years ago. It's expensive but i do highly recommend it if within your budget.

definitely book well in advance, as drron said, if there are special events or festivals on you'd want to quickly secure accommodation.

I did the majority of my shopping in SoHo. GREAT fashion! Some of it REALLY expensive but some of it was also quite cheap. You can spend the whole day there but prepare to be exhausted
