She should be fined a lot more than $950 AND also made to pay back all the victims and their insurers. I think the punishment does not fit the crime.

I got comped for another year of WP when I was still 10SCs short of 1200 - but then again, I went on to get another 300SCs or so before the end of my membership year, so that wasn't really much of a comp, I guess. It was a slightly earlier renewal than expected.

Don't worry about it. It happens quite often. As Serfty says, it's fine as long as the booking class shown by the letter is correct.

Case in point. QF return LHR-MEL-LHR up to 15 June departures were available for under £500, when the cheapest out of Australia to LHR for similar dates were still being sold for AUD2000+.

I tend to subscribe to the school of thought that there is no smoke without fire, and when there are many stories coming out, likely there is a problem. In any case, I do not think it is appropriate for anyone, be it Kevin Rudd, John Howard or even the Queen or just ordinary people like...

But the plat tags, if no prior knowledge that they are plat tags, look like a tag that's below the level of QP in that it looks dull grey. Before I became a Plat, I thought they were just any old generic QF tags. :lol:

I did a taxi trip from MEL at around 8:30am to Hawthorn a while ago. I got stuck in traffic, and the fare was about $85.

I should have put "Prompt apology, and then a refund a bit later" - sorry, my sentence wasn't very clear. It was prompt compared to SQ's though - promised 6 weeks turned into 6 months or whatever it was, and that was after a number of phone calls.

People seriously buy those things? LOL!!

Sometimes, the system seems to fall down. 'No refund of $25' happened to me once as well, although a quick email to customer services resulted in a prompt apology and refund.

By the way, are you saying that you have been given access to T5 Arrivals Lounge when travelling QF whY as a QF plat, since the T4 Arrivals Lounge closed? If they have reinstated lounge access, that would be good news. But besides arriving on QF flight, I thought Arrivals Lounge was for BA Gold...

I have to say the same about PE. The meal was worse than anything I've ever had in economy in the last 10 years - the main course was bordering on inedible, and I am not a fussy eater. Hopefully it is not representative of QF PE meals but it was certainly unimpressive and put me off somewhat...

I was given a $300 Qantas voucher when the IFE was dead (not playing up - it was dead). I wasn't looking for compensation - I never am, I only want a longer-term solution. However, I suspect Qantas do make a bit of an effort to resolve problems when they can, as well as offering compensation.

I wouldn't give up hope yet. I had a weird situation where my points upgrade request was declined, and then I found out I got op-uped. :lol: It turned out in my favour.
