    Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

The extra $10 was seemingly coming from nowhere. I don't have ExpertFlyer so I couldn't confirm it myself but I called the Platinum desk and they couldn't see any $135 fares on that flight, just $145 fares, and two $145 fares would indeed give you a total of $290. The website was appalling on...

    Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

So I emailed some screenshots and was emailed this morning with the usual 'go away' proforma, telling me that everything was functioning perfectly because the fares on the website are exclusive of taxes and surcharges and the total price is only shown on the final page :(

    Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

A new one (for me at least): booking a $145 fare BNE-MEL and a $135 fare MEL-BNE and down the bottom right corner, the total fare is... $290. Now I'm no Lily Serna but when I went to school 145+135=280 :( I couldn't complete the booking after an hour anyway - after all the refreshing pages...

Two reasons I can't take Virgin & Velocity seriously

I fly BNE-MEL-BNE fortnightly and at all hours. I haven't been keeping strict records but I think the catering is something like this: First flight until 1200: Gourmet free-range grain and tropical fruit breakfast delight (pejoratively also known as the muesli bite or 'Oh I couldn't eat a whole...

VA Points / SC Credits - Anyone notice how slow it has become recently

I had the same issue for a flight on 7/6. Email [email protected] with your, the flight and the ticket details - they manually added the points and SCs for me surprisingly quickly given how poorly the system was otherwise working.

Two reasons I can't take Virgin & Velocity seriously

If you're upset by a 10 second advertisement for an airline's frequent flyer program, I think you're probably determined to have a bad time.

VA Points / SC Credits - Anyone notice how slow it has become recently

Flew 8/6, which posted today but still waiting on flights from 7/6 and 12/6. All VA domestic sectors booked on the VA website. Online retro claim says 'the points have already posted' for one and 'error' for the other. What a mess!

VA Points / SC Credits - Anyone notice how slow it has become recently

Get back in line! I'm still waiting on 7 June. VA ticket for a VA flight BNE-MEL... complicated stuff :-(

LAX Update: EK Lounge for WP; EY lounge for Business & SG - from March 21

Review: Los Angeles International Lounge LAX Airport - One Mile at a Time The Los Angeles International Lounge looks new and neat but there are no showers and the food looks pretty average. Having said that, it's only for morning flights so I think the strategy should be to have a big...

Partner recognition as WP in Y

Sorry by that I only meant that in my experience DL and NZ treat VA WPs a lot better than VA itself.

Partner recognition as WP in Y

As Jack said before, if you want to be treated well as a VA WP, fly DL or NZ =P

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Property: HSW Status: Gold Booked: Relaxation suite Received: Relaxation suite Stay: 3 nights in May I've only stayed a few times but what I've found each stay is that once you venture below the 4th floor, the service takes a turn for the decidedly average. On check in was told to step...

    Velocity Bonus Points Calculation

It's been covered a couple of times and yes, the bonus points are calculated on the base points rather than what you earn from flying in W or J.

    VA to codeshare with AC

Yes those non-Velocity partners have always been there as long as I've been flying and flicking through the magazine (not sure why but I always enjoy a good network map!) Of course the VA website is hopeless but if you look at Kayak or Google Flights, you'll see single tickets with a VA flight...

May 2017 Velocity 15% Transfer Bonus

100,000 Amex MR points = 125,000 Velocity points = 92,592 KrisFlyer points if I'm not mistaken so that doesn't sound like the best idea.
