Virgin flyer credit card offer up to 20k bonus points and no annual fee (1st year)

Re: Virgin flyer credit card offer up to 20k bonus points and no annual fee (1st year I only have one MasterCard and most of the bonus points deals are Visa cards (have a couple) as far as I can see, but would change to a more "rewarding" MC.

Virgin flyer credit card offer up to 20k bonus points and no annual fee (1st year)

Re: Virgin flyer credit card offer up to 20k bonus points and no annual fee (1st year I haven't cancelled my "old" Virgin Money card, but realise I should. Was holding out for some other bank deals with higher bonus points with VA rather than QF. A MasterCard instead of Visa would be nice too...

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

Slightly off the topic, but referring back to some earlier posts, is the phone Westpac call centre for the Altitude Black Card and 60,000 QF points still available?

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

I think it was just one transaction by end April and amount didn't matter. I used mine a bit to cover contingencies, but it takes at least 60 days from memory before might see QF points.

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

You may need to call them. It was reasonably slow, and because to the lousy branch experience I got them to mail the card, etc. to my home rather than have to go back to the branch. Between my travel and their hopelessness, probably 3 weeks in the end. The call centre staff seem better switched...

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

Is it worth phoning the call centre? I find they need "nudging" sometimes. Even if they confirm that the points will only arrive at the last possible time.

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

I feel a Westpac call coming on! I've had accounts with them, but not a credit card. I am finding the banks being more "snarky" about excluding the bonus points if there has been a previous card/account (sometimes within a certain period).

    Russia Visa and APEC

dajop, I've had an APEC card since day one almost and have never been challenged for being a tourist, using the priority lane, or needing a visa (e.g. Indonesia, China). It's taken a few years for airline staff, etc. to understand that the APEC card is all right, as they are in trouble if a pax...

    Russia Visa and APEC

I am planning a trip to Russia in a couple of months. I have been in touch with APEC about acceptance by Russia. Basically it seems if you have an existing card (I do) they are accepting requests (mine went in mid-last year) but not acting. They do act on new applications/renewals. Regardless...

St George Amplify Signature Card 60,000 Qantas/Amplify points - Annual fee $279

I've had the card approved, made a spend, so now waiting for points. I have to say my St. George experience, especially at the branch has been pretty awful. Separately, a BankWest deal I missed the fine print and didn't get points as I'd already transacted with them. I know the banks and card...

20,000 bonus points for a Bankwest Qantas Platinum card

Interesting. Online I can't seem to find any 20,000 point offer, only the 8,000. I have BW accounts and a MasterCard debit card, and the QF points are coming through to the account, so far so good. I've had no offer to "upgrade" the debit card to a credit card. I "only" have one MasterCard (not...

The ex-QFF benefits list. What do you miss the most?

Thanks Penegal...that was pretty much as I saw it and much better said and clarified. Mostly OW is QF and CX. US is now once a year typically and airline depends on how my route is constructed. Last time via YVR with CX and then AA (mostly to ORD), but was able to turn it into an RTW also using...

The ex-QFF benefits list. What do you miss the most?

I have been considering this and don't know what to do. I have a fair bit of work flying coming up I have scheduled with CX, but QF Platinum number. CX recognise my oneworld status better than all the others in the alliance. I was looking at Marco Polo, but the miles/segments requirement is more...

DJ op up given but taken away

On DJ flight from BNE-SYD yesterday morning and 2 op ups to J from Y. This was a result of aircraft change from 737-800 to a -700 resulting in the need to reseat "unseated" pax. Crew knew exactly who was who and offered J pax first, but everyone got good service.

    Business Class Trip Report

A generally good experience SYD-MEL-SYD this weekend in J (points and upgrade). Some sevice aspects still "evolving" in terms of polish (e.g. using passenger names more where possible).

APEC Business Travel Card - Express Immigration Clearance

I have also heard along the way that the tightened requirements reflect 1. some "roting" of the system with application info that were not really genuine jobs and 2. that other APEC members complaained that 60% of cards issued were by Australia. Including India would be very helpful as would a...

Velocity Frequent Flyer Status Match Promotion - Closed 30 Sep 11

Re: Announcing our New Velocity Frequent Flyer Program Congrats as well. As someone asked/said...now to see if we use them! I fly HKG a lot and may finally try Virgin Atlantic for a change, as there is more incentive now than before, although I find it hard to go past CX.
