Are you a seat recliner ?

Surely most of us wouldn't notice?

Best and Worst [travel gadgets/items you have ever purchased]

You can do this with an iPhone or Android device, too. There are a number of apps around for the purpose: I use OffMaps, which also pre-downloads any wikipedia articles relevant to the area, along with info about places to eat. Always helpful!

Are you a seat recliner ?

Sure. If a person with back problems can't travel in normal Y conditions, the same applies. The ability to recline (not during meals) is part of normal Y conditions.

Best and Worst [travel gadgets/items you have ever purchased]

Best: iPad, Kindle and one not mentioned yet: a double adapter to simplify charging my devices in hotel rooms. Worst: A pair of expensive Phillips in-ear noise-cancelling earphones that just made my ears hurt.

Are you a seat recliner ?

I hate to sound mean, but if she can't afford to upgrade to Y+ and can't travel in normal Y conditions due to wounds and claustrophobia, she probably shouldn't be travelling at all. Perhaps with notice in advance, the airline could be persuaded to make some accommodation for her disability if...

Are you a seat recliner ?

Bear in mind that some people have back issues or other physical ailments that make it very uncomfortable to sit up straight for more than an hour. You can't know, so don't give people a hard time if they recline.

Are you a seat recliner ?

I rarely recline during a daytime flight. I don't feel the need. My (seemingly unpopular) view on this, however, is that the space into which a chair reclines does not belong to the person behind, but to the person in front -- i.e. everyone is entitled to recline, though they should exercise...

    Rewards booking codes for VA?

An update... On boarding, I got shunted back from 1C to 12D. I wonder if "I" is just the general "gotcha!" price gouge fare for last-minute changes, inheriting whatever the conditions were on the original fare. I'm annoyed, because I only bought the expensive D fare in the first place because...

    Rewards booking codes for VA?

I was initially booked on a D fare tomorrow afternoon (Rockhampton-BBN-CBR). I called this morning to change my flight to this afternoon, and was told I'd need to spend an extra $100 to upgrade to an I class fare as there were no seats available for a D class fare. My itinerary states that this...

    Virgin domestic I class fare

Now that I've found the first answer, I have another question. My itinerary says this fare has "inclusive food and drinks from our onboard menu". What does this mean? Can I just order whatever I like from the menu without paying extra?

    Rewards booking codes for VA?

Another piece of info: "I" is the whole of government (WOAG) fully flexible economy fare, including lounge access, food & drink & entertainment.

    Virgin domestic I class fare

I have just had to make a change to a flight. I was on a D class ticket (whole of government flexible economy, with lounge access: used to be a Defence fare), which I thought gave me the flexibility to make last-minute changes. Unfortunately, not. To switch my flight from tomorrow to today, I...

    Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones

Thanks. I hadn't thought of the option of buying a headset and ditching the headphones.

    Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones

Agreed. I have the QC15 and love them, but would really like a bluetooth adaptor so I can listen to Pandora through my computer without being tethered to the desk. Anyone know of a good adpator that runs on batteries?

Maintain Status Offers Plat/Gold Silver (Two return flights or other)‏

I've done quite well out of these bonus offers. The Qantas double status credit offer reached me just in time to bump me up to Gold before my review date, and the Virgin "50 bonus status credits" offer arrived just in time for me to maintain Silver for next year. :)

Who Can We trust - help

British Airways offer business class fares on that route. Presumably, Qantas would be booking a BA flight.

    Dealing with poor manners

I have an acquaintance who who eats with his mouth open while talking. I haven't called him on it, but like everyone else at the place we both volunteer, I avoid being in the lunchroom with him. Must get lonely. He's in his 80s, so in his case, I have to wonder whether it is dementia, but...

Approaches for dealing with 'electronic devices off'

Personally, if a fellow passenger is using a phone to talk during taxi or takeoff, I'd probably go so far as to give them a dirty look. If they are using some other electronic device, I'll ignore it as I don't believe it does any harm. If they are my immediate neighbour and I'm in the window...

Approaches for dealing with 'electronic devices off'

But your noise cancelling headphones are an electronic device in their own right, even plugged into the armrest or plugged into nothing at all. I had a flight attendant point this out to me once.
