In economy, we had a 55min connection flying in from TXL and onto MEL. We had to walk from one pier to another, and the whole process took ~35mins. We got to the gate when they had just started to board Economy for the MEL flight. Plenty of time, especially in J. Hamad Airport is not that big...

I can think of a couple, but they mostly earn to QF only which imho makes them not as valuable as cards which can also be used with VA, SQ and CX. Health, Schools and Roads are state not federal government, so effectively they are only paid through the GST, not income and company tax

Yup that's what I thought, but needed clarification :p. From what I can tell Macquarie Bank and the Bankwest "Black" card are the best value for ato, but they only earn on Qantas which is harder to redeem outright for compared to Velocity (Etihad / Transfer --> SQ) or Kris Flyer.
