    Project Sunrise: A350 or 777X?

On the test flight, the pax were fed 1 hour after take off, 7 hours in (roughly midnight sydney time) and 2.5 hours before landing.

    Qantas Sunrise special event tonight

I for one would love to be able to fly to Europe non-stop. I hate going through security unnecessarily. My last time through DXB I spent an hour in a queue at 2am to 3am (UK time) before I got back into the duty free area. Nightmare. Singapore is no better, doing security and locking you into...

QF 95/96 - have they always only been Mondays and Fridays?

Rumours that AA will fly daily to MEL from LAX. They might take up the evening flight, letting QF fly 6x weekly to SFO.

Is Qantas walking away from Emirates partnership?

In this case, Qantas are merely the TA. Book direct, or get inferior service. Goes for any OTA.

How do waitlisted award bookings work?

Hopefully this is of some help to you. I don't have any direct experience with Asiamiles. Some airlines have award seats as Avaliable, Waitlist or Unavaliable. If a flight has a waitlist, it means that Revenue Management expects some seats to be unsold at about 7 days out. I wouldn't expect...

I'm in the new Melbourne Business lounge for the next hour.

    DXB transfer T3 A to C gates

A380s don't just use Concourse A, they also use B just fyi (no 777s at A though). When you land, you'll need to clear security. As you're flying first, you have a priority lane. Take your friend in Y with you, as if you land @DXB at midnight you'll save a lot of time. Don't believe you can...

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

I was not clear. Which business take 1c transactions online?

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

How do you make 50 micro transactions a day? Obviously paying as little as 0.2c per QFF point is appealing.

Cathay Pacific rewards availability HK->MEL Jun 2019

CX availability is zeroed out for everyone/every program atm for unknown reason, but suspected linked to new Asia Miles rates/website. Check breakfast and dinner each day, and it'll show up eventually (Use the asia miles site).

    Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan

Probably make a booking for more than 60 days out (like a domestic Y/J) and cancel it. You cop $12.50 partner fee, but probably worth it in the long run.

Free QF F MEL-LAX (93) Award Seat (June)

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I've just let go of an F seat I had Thu 21/06. It's back in the system now, hopefully someone here can make the most of it.

Now Boarding ... Chicken or Beef?

Not sure if you were flying Y or J, but Curries imho are the best plane food in Y, because the meat doesn't go dry and it can be spicier than on the ground for the same effective spiciness, but I guess not everyone likes curries to start with.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Fees are too high for most players as well. Unless someone knows of a way to get coles vouchers at 5% off ($197.55 per $200 card, getting paid to earn points).

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

The AMEX qantas and virgin no fee cards, but they don't earn well. Best bet is still the Plat Edge. If you use the $200 credit, the annual fee is effectively $0.

    Woolworths gift card thread

Just a heads up, the Platinum Charge Card earns 3 points per $ at restaurants only. The Platinum Edge earns 3 points per $ at supermarkets.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Thanks guys. That makes points earnings a lot cheaper than I thought. Sorry, I should have been more clear: These cards.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Perhaps a stupid question, but are the Woolies cards charged as visa debit or visa credit by the ATO?
