DOH Lounge Access? [J to Europe, transit]

I will be flying SIN-DOH-MUN in Business with SIN-DOH on an I class fare and DOH-MUN P class (one booking). Any thoughts/experience on whether I can access the AL Mourjan lounge? I'm thinking in theory not as the next flight being P class fare does not grant access. I'll be oneworld Sapphire...

QF multi city through-checked baggage between legs

I believe it can be a combination of airline and airport rules. See this (old) thread. QF wouldn't check baggage through with long layover

Help with Booking Business Class Return Flights to Europe

If you are willing to use separate bookings, QR from Singapore to Lisbon, then Rome to Singapore around the dates you stated can be around $4150. Separate booking from Aus to Singapore, is quite variable in price. JQ ' business' ex Mel is around $1600 RTN (flex). Need to allow buffer time ( and...

    Ask The Pilot

From memory, operating crew are exempt visa requirements from most countries, I'm sure they're are one that do though. Australia users a Crew Travel Authority (CTA), similar to an ETA for passengers - not technically a visa ( in legal terms that is, an EVisa is different to a ETA). These are...

Melbourne to Sydney by overnight XPT train

Agree. As an a side, the vline option is half an hour quicker than the NSW Trainlink bus to Yass XPT offering and usually less than half the price. Having done both recently, I prefer the vline, as long as nobody sits next me on the bus (a not always avoidable pet hate).

Can the Montréal Convention Apply to IRROPS?

Good advice, need to remember that is guidance not a standard, meaning it is not enforceable if push comes to shove. Standards aren't either if an exception has been registered.

Is the Australian Landing Card Still Necessary in the Written Form?

I believe its an updated version of Australian Traveller Declaration, which came in during COVID. This was replaced by the now defunct DPD. Outwardly not a lot of difference between those two, but it was the backend processes across multiple agencies that tried do a great deal more but we know...

Interesting ways to go from Frankfurt to Casablanca

For me, arrival and departure at Casablanca airport last year was no worse than comparable countries. Departure was much easier than say Cairo. I imagine the risk is greater there though. Other than the grand mosque which is impressive, Casablanca is not that great. Rest of the country I...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

    1. Yes 3. For me, once booking completed, yes. Did have doubts many times as I had to add flights 3 or 4 times requiring around 20 phone calls, hoping to get an agent who at least knew flights could be added and then the "these seats are for new bookings only" line (which may or may not be the...

    Fiji airlines changing planes

Given that you're flying the same month as which the route starts, probably longer than what you would like for your desired equipment change. The A330 may not have the legs to get to DFW as well. I don't know. No one here can say with any certainty though, so you never know.

    Fiji airlines changing planes

Ultimately its a bit of a guess, I don't think it likely. The route commences in December and was announced not long ago, so not that long for sales. Generally speaking airlines give a new route some time to 'settle in' before making schedule/ equipment changes. It could also be quite full on...

    Five-digit flight numbers?

Not a new problem, been discussed at IATA level for 5 years or so.The standard for a number is set in the IATA document - Standard Schedules Information Manual and is up to 4 numerics (letters that occur after the number are called 'an operational suffix related to flight number'. This won't...

Is the Australian Landing Card Still Necessary in the Written Form?

Spot on, ABF made it happen once the money and direction from government was there. Not much of a choice, they do set minimum requirments on layout, infrastructure they need etc.
