    Qantas Sydney airport terminal transfer

I imagine you could do online check in and drop the bags off at the transfer building, where the qantas domestic shuttle leaves from.

Short turnarounds: Have you flown back from your destination with the same crew?

Several years ago, QR operated DOH - YUL less than daily, so the crew on my inbound flight were operating my outbound flight 72 hours later. The cabin supervisor and I were talking about what we respectively be doing in that time. We greeted each other like old friends when I boarded the flight...

New TRS rules? Goods no longer included in cap?

The dollar value of the passenger concession has never been adjusted with inflation, only when the government, both political and administrative wings, think it needs to be done. Not saying it shouldn't be adjusted in that fashion just that there is no precedent. It is probably a tad harder...

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

I was just going off the oneworld lounge access website, where for SIN it states for QR revenue pax only from other oneworld carriers. Yet on the lounge access policy page of the same site it does not make mention of revenue pax only for access. Take your pick.

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

Indeed, and QR at least must be able to tell the difference between revenue and award pax from scanning the QR ( not the airline) code on boarding passes as OW award pax in J class are not permitted in some of their lounges.

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

I'm not sure how unbundled my AY fare was, baggage allowance was 1 X 23 and no seat selection unless OW status applied. From a vague memory it wasn't the 'bottom of the rung' fare, but the next one up.

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

A revenue fare in business class on a OW carrier gets you access to QR lounge in Singapore. My experience a fortnight ago, travelling on AY ticket on QF2.

    Finnair’s Business Class AirLounge seat

I recently flew BKK-HEL and HEL-SIN in 2L on A350, very little disturbance from galley, it is relatively not that close to the galley and not a lot of bother with loo traffic.

    Finnair’s Business Class AirLounge seat

Similar feelings from me, seat 2L for BKK-HEL, the lack of the support spar in the foot well makes a big difference to the foot space, but the mattress topper and the lack of a position in between upright and lie flat was annoying. I usually only sleep 2 -3 hours at most on the long haul night...

a question about Tasmania from 1990

When TN/AN operated HBA- CHC (with a QF flight number), sometimes the 727 would operate from SYD - LST- HBA before and after the CHC run.

a question about Tasmania from 1990

There were MEL-LST-HBA flights, in the evening and return the next morning, in 1989 when I moved to the big island. Pre the pilots 'dispute'. Don't recall there ever being MEL-DPO-HBA/LST flights on the 80s.

    QF11 Changes

Way back when (mid 1990's), QF 108 commenced operating arriving SYD 2030hrs. Come summer the arrival time behave 2230, inevitably a few delays occurred meaning missing of curfew. It was moved to a morning arrival within 12 months. Obviously there is more to it than missing curfew, like fleet...

Can't leave Melbourne Airport During transit??? [DOH-MEL-ADL vv]

Exactly, Australian citizen can't be stopped from entering at whatever port they chose, from a legal perspective. The officers might think it's a bit odd but that's about it. Whether the airline makes a note for future reference is an unknown quantity and worth at least thinking about any...

    QF28 to QF5 customs clearance

If you are checked through to Perth (bags and seat), you should be able to stay airside at Sydney. Probably best to check with them, if you're confident they know the answer. Australia is one of the minority of countries that does not insist on first port clearance on arrival by commercial...

    Finnair’s Business Class AirLounge seat

Flew SYD-BKK on QF 295 last Sunday, PJs were handed out. This did not occur until after take off though which had some people in a tizz. Whether this timing was by design not sure as the service was a bit patchy. Pretty sure the Thai AY crew were learning ' on the fly' as it were, two plain...

    Finnair’s Business Class AirLounge seat

The foot well in the first row of seats, where there is no support pole to impede the feet, had ample foot space for me (180cm tall). A downside to the seat is the lack of a partial recline position which would help in alleviating a numb backside after hours of sitting but not wanting to lie...
