No You are already Platinum through to 30 April 2024 (your newly minted platinum status from 1 May 2023, if I read this correctly). That you will shortly requalify for Platinum so early in your QFF year is great news - once you requalify you will be Platinum through to 30 April 2025.

When I fly JQ I always get a MAX bundle, so have choice of any seat. I don't think you can conclude that at this stage. If people ring up badgering them about DSCs not yet landed in less than 8 weeks when the T&C say they come after 8 weeks, then not acting on the concerns isn't indifference - it's just deferring to the T&C. However if they don't respond...

If you chase before 8 weeks is up, you will be referred to the T&C. Just wait the 8 weeks, then chase if they haven't arrived

I’ve bought +50% bonus points twice, and had no problem. I wouldn’t be put off by what is hopefully an outlier experience (although I acknowledge that others have had a similar experience). And if you want/need the points, you know they’ll come eventually.
