    QF 93 Mel/Lax A380

Qantas needs the capacity. It's not for no reason. If that A380 is on the maintenance line being refit, then that flight just doesn't get run (or another one gets cut instead).

Award flight on EK - tight connection

If you comply with MCT don't worry. EK are great at managing connections. Anything tight they will hold flights and even fast track pax to make flights. At worst they'll bump you to the next flight (which might be direct).

    Recent SYD-LHR expereince

EK only fly A380 and B777, they used to fly the 330/340 but they were retired a few years before your flights.

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

There's also a difference between having the lights on, and having the lights on full blast. I think you'll find it'll be a warm colour temperature (like 3000K) that's on about 75% of full brightness.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

AFAIK, the unrefurbd A380s still have the old interface.

    Fixing QF Lifetime Status

That's not exactly the point. The 600 SC head start is to encourage LTG holders to still fly/credit to QF and go for platinum each year. That 600 SC worth of flying credited to any other OW program won't get them near Emerald. Reducing the requirement for LPT from 75,000 to 35,000 SC is to...

    Fixing QF Lifetime Status

You make a lot of great points. My 2c: LTP should be 35,000 SC and LTP1 should be 70,000 SC. Going from 14,000 to 75,000 SC is just ridiculous. Keep LTS and LTG at the same rates (7,000 and 14,000 SC respectively). Secondly, like the idea that having LT status means you start each membership...

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

If I may ask, how? Through spend and signups I can somewhat qualify for PC, but would like to make that PC+

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

I think you'll find the two A330s will be based in Australia and be cycled only periodically as required for maintenance reasons. I'd expect the same plane to stay on the same route going back and forth for weeks at a time. So small things like reprogramming the IFE won't have to be done that...

    Qantas international flight with infant.

Looks pretty nifty. Just make sure it's only installed on the window seat. Would be a PITA during an emergency...

    Qantas international flight with infant.

Car seats aren't needed. For take-off and landing, little kid can sit on lap if needed and then into their own seat during cruise. Prams get gate checked. Drop it off at the door and pick it up on the way back thru.

    QF9 seat advice - a dilemma

Only time queue for toilets is ever an issue in economy is that last hour between the (breakfast) meal service and landing - generally because everyone wants to brush teeth, get changed etc. Other than that, you'd never have more than 2-3 people waiting for a toilet. If you're listening to...

Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

There's some good Europe-NA fares on BA/AA in J, ~$2500 for 700SCs. Fare is coded as INX1C8S4. Holding out for a double SC promo before pulling the trigger (would be $1.78/SC)

Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

Question about PC+ you might know. Say I'm platinum and I earn exactly 1200 SC every year, does 100 automatically roll over to the next year so only need 1100 SC perpetually from that point on (whilst maintaining PC+), or is the rollover only on the SCs earned above the 1200?

    Masks on QF International Flights

What I don't get is why wear masks if conducting a F+B service? In Business (especially), I could theoretically have my mask off from take off to landing if I continue to indulge. Seems to make a mockery of the whole charade.

    Masks on QF International Flights

You can always choose to wear a mask, even if others aren't.

    Qantas overbooking

My advice? Check in online asap. Get to the Airport 3 hours early and drop bags. Don't want to be the last 15-16 arriving.....

QF Oz to USA September 2022 - preferred route?

SYD-DFW on the way out (the seamless lite isn't that bad dom->int) LAX-MEL on the way home (transferring at LAX is fine, it's just entry immigration/customs that is coughe) (NB assuming you don't live in either port).

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

It sounds like all of MEL, SYD, BNE and PER will get non-stop flights to LHR. Whether via SIN continues is yet to be seen as that would require another slot pair.
