    This. If they play hard ball, you do the same and take it further. For the car loan may I suggest you have a look at Qantas CU, I found their service very reasonable. As a bonus they only charge interest on your remaining balance, not calculate it upfront as most of the banks, i figured i saved...

    It will not show up in credit report. Unless of course you explicitly agree for a credit enquiry as part of a transfer process with another bank, which i imagine would be quite a rare occurrence.
