Qantas SC with JAL Domestic Business

Wow.. that's a big downgrade to the previous tables, which at least were clearer that many "upgrade/ surcharge" classes to J and F wouldn't earn full SCs.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

So seems the customer acceptance flight must have been the 4th flight. In order to make that timetable VH-OGA departs Hamburg in 6 hrs (8am local or 4pm Sydney time)

VPN's for use in China - are there any good choices other than Nord?

Yep. Believe Holafly has an HK exit point, which is good for China, but so do many others. Billion Connect - multiple plans but for example US $4.08 for 5GB/7 days. https://www.billionconnect.net/pages/skuDetail/skuDetail?productId=498&name=China-mainland-eSIM

    A week in China - Where/What?

Tangerine is a Telstra MVNO so should be able to receive incoming SMS's without issue (and calls on VoWifi or VoLTE/5G) with no roaming paid for (but allowed on phone) Woolworths + an eSim has worked fine for me before

    2025 F1 Thread

Watching movie tomorrow at Imax Sydney tomorrow.. so no 4DX, but a big screen. Have watched F1Will's YT, though I don't think I'll notice the car inconsistencies between years as much as him

VPN's for use in China - are there any good choices other than Nord?

Think it's a continual game of whack a mole with the commerical providers If you can sign up for it so can those in charge of blocking it. If a low/ moderate data user just use roaming SIM/ dedicated eSim

    Qantas' New A321XLR

As any transition of an airlines workhorse should be. The youngest is only 10yo (VH-XZP delivered Nov-2014). The 737-800s arrived over 13 yrs (early 2002- late 2014) and I wouldn't be surprised if the replacements are further spread. So XZP could be with us into the late 2030s. And the rumoured...

    A week in China - Where/What?

Very unfair to foreign tourists.. as even stuff that would have CCC in the Chinese market might not for export. Of my two purchase this year one has a CE (Europe) and a few other marks, the other has FCC ID.

    A week in China - Where/What?

Believe Alipay needs an internet connection. Recommend the various trip.com esims over the mass marketed companies. They exit in HK so have good speeds to/from China. Billion Connect/ BC Connect one of the main providers. AMaps now works well with English.. Just favourite your key locations...

    Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

Just for size - SYD is currently 41 MAP (25M Domestic, 16M International). The forecasts for WSI (from an airliners.net post). So they are forecasting a stage 2 terminal expansion in the early 2030s.

How much customer data does Qantas have

Think it's also a mix of access depending on the role. Eg. First Lounge staff seek to have a lot of access and sometimes use it to try and make conversation.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

Interesting. Airfleets currently lists SQ with 4 737-800s (9V-MGK to 9V-MGN. All 2015 deliveries. They would therefore become QFs youngest 737s, given the current youngest VH-XZP (RR James Strong) is a 2014 delivery. All the other older ex-SQ 737-800s have already been spoken for, with most...

    Qantas' New A321XLR

Already widely covered. Just won't happen in the first batch will mostly be on domestic routes, maybe with some NZ and Bali mixed in. https://www.executivetraveller.com/news/qantas-airbus-a321xlr

^ And the replacement of a handful of domestic 332s if one assumes the refurbed 10 will be mostly international focussed.
