    It depends if you are a regular guest or a one off. My experience with Novotel and Mecure has been ok as a repeat customer but hideous as a first and last time visitor. Shame there is no consistency as this is important to any status program.

    In many cases the 2 for 1 is a claytons discount. Its there to make the CC offer sound good. As of the 1st Dec this will be even more often the case. Flexi bookings were more likely to provide some savings and these won't be valid, taxes will increase and you will have to book further ahead...

    You can take 1.25 per $ with a monthly point cap or go with a lower point per $ offer elsewhere with no cap. I think that if your going to end up with a similar end result your better off find someone with good service.

    Earn Points with Credit Card Partners | Velocity Frequent Flyer I would be aiming for something with lower fees and potentially lower interest. Don't forget to choose someone who actually know what customer service is and how to deliver it.

    I say normally. There is another party involved being VA who take the bookings and apply the discount. It would be a big ask for them to distinguish between VM's new and existing customers, in fact, I would guess its impossible, so it would be date specific. :cool:

    That's interesting as I would have thought these changes are being driven by VM not VA, in which case the feedback to VA would be useless anyway. But happy to spread it around.

    Normally when new T&C's are being implemented they apply immediately to new applications. The implementation date is otherwise specifically for existing customers only.
