Join BMI Diamond Club and get 9,000 miles immediately! - Merged threads

When you earn with BMI, is there a minimum points guarantee? So if you fly a 109 mile segment with UA, do you get 109 points, or 500?

US Interstate Flights booking, Need Advice/Help

Hi wywk. Welcome to AFF. I'm not sure if the QF website pre-allocated your seats for the AA flights but if you're not happy (SWMBO was pre-allocated 7C and me 2A  ) but if you log onto www.checkmytrip.com and enter your QF booking reference, at the top of the page above your flights...

Baggage allowance - QF business class

As Dave mentioned, BA have simplified their policy and they've given their customers plenty of time to adapt. According to the website, BA will continue to accept baggage up to 32kgs until November this year. They've also been pretty flexible and mention that they'll give you the most...

    Frequent fly in Qantas ointment

Interesting that they name May as being the time frame when we'll go "anytime rewards". Apart from that, nothing new really. I like the way the journo uses "enhance" too. ;)

    Transitting in ORD

Thanks winetraveller, it'll be late September. I'm just as concerned about ORD as getting out of Montreal if there's fog or something. At least the aircraft overnights though.

Hi ausnat. Welcome to AFF! With JQ star class you will get a Millenium Business Class seat (the same used on QF domestic services) and a basic meals and alcohol service (pretty average). You also get a portable AVOD kit and a comfort pack. With BA WT+, you get an Economy seat (a little...

    Transitting in ORD

I'm just after everyone's advice on this one. I've booked some flights which are as follows: ORD-YVR (UA) YVR-YYZ (AC) YYZ-SCL (AC) SCL-EZE (LA) The first flight departs ORD at 9:45am. I'll be living in YUL at the end of the year so I was looking to position using AA4427 YUL-ORD which...

What does 10% on time mean?

Is your LAX-SYD flight with United? If it is, you will save the check-in time as your bags will be interlines and you will be checked-in in LAS. If it's with QF, why don't you take AA? They will interline your bags, though they won't be able to give you boarding passes if they're on a...

    Trouble redeeming a Qantas Flight

What does 10% on time mean?

Depending on the Stats that United use, it means that only 10% of the flights on this flight number leave within X minutes of scheduled departure. (usually 15 or 20 minutes) Track Flight Status, Airport Delays and other Flight and Airport Information provides comprehensive details for each...

    Trouble redeeming a Qantas Flight

I can see what the CSA is trying to say about ringing a little later in the month. From MEL, you would need to transit through SYD otherwise you will end up using your Business Class points for a flight in Jetstar StarClass. QF seem to be fairly restrictive on award flights on this...

Status credits on other OW airlines

Hi Nick, there's no official SC calculator that I'm aware of without calculating the mileage and manually looking at the tables. However, Mileage Monkey will calculate them for you if you put in the airport codes. MileageMonkey 0.95015 You need to enter your airport codes in the Oneworld...

    Trip from BNE to JFK

Sorry to hijack your thread Kalan but we've covered off on the drive in that thread but I'm after suggestions of which side of the aircraft so sit on for a view of the coastline. I'm flying SAN-LAX-SEA.

    DCIR29 dilemma

Are there any basic segments that you could cut-out and have the ticket re-issued once you get to Taiwan? On an other note, I seem to remember reading that the AA RTW desk is sometimes able to extend the CX ticketing deadlines.

    LONE4 world price list

If you have a look at the OW website, there is a Fare Calculator about half way down the page which lists the prices for the countries you select. oneworld - oneworld Explorer There is a comprehensive list over on FT if you have a look at the Oneworld forum but I'm unable to put my hand on it...

    YUP/P Fares on AA

Hi Guys, I was under the impression that YUPP/KUPP fares had quite a few restrictions to them and hence are classified as Restricted First Class. I'm looking at a couple of YUPP's later in the year (around Thanksgiving so I want to book them sooner rather than later) so I had a look at the...

Using an Oz Credit Card to book on ua.com

I hadn't even thought of it/expected it. Thanks Mal. :D It even cuts out the currency conversion fees and the rates seem pretty good. USD$83.50 converted to USD$96 which seems okay at the moment. Tickets issued, thanks guys! :p

Using an Oz Credit Card to book on ua.com

I was just trying to book some USA segments on my Oz credit card on ua.com and it keeps telling me I have an invalid credit card. I have entered two different AMEX cards. Is it the same as AA and only American Credit Cards are accepted?
