I'm guessing it's the 747s you're counting above! The QF17/QF18/QF63/QF64 rotation timing works well. Great utilisation. The aircraft sitting on the ground at NRT for over 12 hours, on the other hand, isn't such great utilisation.

Positive news. I like the idea of an evening SYD-LAX flight (QF17). It won't suit those connecting to the east coast, but will suit those checking into LA hotels and those with a shorter-hop connection from LAX to the west coast or thereabouts. The ex-SYD time suits getting away after work!

The talk in that Aspire Aviation piece about an expanded Sydney Connect service is interesting. Expanding to CTU and KMG, for instance, in Asia and GRU and GIG, for instance, in South America to allow better connections from Asia to South America (and vice versa) via SYD.

MIA-SXM, AA, D, drops from 80 SCs to 60 SCs. There is now no benefit now in finding that Caribbean destination >1200 mi (and <1500 mi) from MIA. One just needs to ensure that one gets a destination >750 mi from MIA for those Caribbean status runs, as >1500 mi is a far tougher ask.

I think that claims for flights can be made up to 12 months after the flight. Clause 7.3(a) provides: The drop-down list for flight date on the Claim Missing Points page also goes back 12 months (with the month drop down currently having December 2012 to December 2013 as available options)...
