Virgin Voyages Access Keys for 79,999 points on the Velocity Store

While I agree generally, from the way it's written I believe Collinson is doing the gathering, then passing the details on to Virgin who I expect would only be generating keys on request and who will then contact the customer. I expect Collinson will only pass them on in batches (maybe daily...

Qantas not following fare rules and refusing refund?

It's certainly a thing with other companies. Perhaps Qantas is more caring/less concerned about its finances in this case... but there's not a lot of evidence to support that.

ACCC pressures Virgin to lift travel credit expiry [update - Virgin forced to extend]

The second is an interesting article, regarding pricing. There's some days I'm looking at next year for some time, and Virgin has consistently been priced above Qantas for the same main route for months, average about $100 more. So much for them being the value option (ie. prices vary, but...

Virgin Voyages Access Keys for 79,999 points on the Velocity Store

Would be good, wouldn't it. A private operator did run that service when the terminal opened, but didn't restart that service after covid and it didn't attract great volumes. Unfortunately it was still a relatively lengthy walk from the ferry to the cruise terminal and, on top of all the other...

Qantas not following fare rules and refusing refund?

If you never want/need to fly them again, that may be fine. But if you do, they may put a block on future bookings since you are seen as having an outstanding debt if you do that.

Virgin Voyages Access Keys for 79,999 points on the Velocity Store

The ship was meant to be based in Melbourne this year. Key market is Sydney though so they cancelled some Melbourne itineraries to relocate briefly to Sydney to build awareness. When it returns next year though they're balancing it around as it's a tough sell from Melbourne alone.

    QSuites Doha-Sydney?

Exactly. Stopped being released since June... not back yet.

So, who wants to be a QF Airport Customer Experience Manager?

What's with making it fixed term as well? It doesn't say you're replacing someone, and obviously the job is not going away. Looks like an easy way to get rid of you if they want, at lowest cost...

    QSuites Doha-Sydney?

Of course, it'll be a bit of a moot question if Qatar doesn't return long haul business award availability.

Qatar denied extra capacity into Australia

With that sort of mafs, must be News limited.

Qatar denied extra capacity into Australia

Yes... but then they also intended to retire them from 2021 - but then found they would have given up revenue opportunities so brought them back.

The ACCC proposes to deny coordination between Qantas and China Eastern

It's quite possible for Qantas to compete against China Eastern on that route.

    One point rewards promo??

Can't say I'm very impressed with their new Velocity head, Nick, who signed off on this. Promos under Karl were a lot more even handed. So much hype for a - much delayed - promo which seems to really only run once or twice a week, for only ~15 minutes, for 4 weeks, and basically only targeting...

A brief overview of cruise lines

Not all operate locally. Conversely there are some other lines that do operate locally that aren't covered.

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

Haven't received anything from them about the account since the 16/08 email.

Qatar Agent made an error, now my flight has disappeared...

Consumer law requires you to get what was sold to you - but if you only have something said verbally, it is obviously very difficult to prove and may wind up as there is only your word against theirs. It doesn't technically invalidate the claim - but if the claims have equal merit and oppose you...

QF now the 13th most distrusted brand in Australia (Roy Morgan)

Per the linked article, Qantas has the lowest rating of any airline, including its junior budget brand, Jet*. Wallet has its own problems - corporate contracts, market, availability and time are all factors.

    One point rewards promo??

Redefining "velocity" wasn't enough... they've now moved on to the rest of kinematics.

    One point rewards promo??

The fact it's still there suggests to me they're still working on it, and are just behind (Remember, Velocity means Fast!). Whereas if it had actually "died" they would have just pulled the page entirely. Given the delay, they just don't want to draw attention to it by announcing it is postponed...

    Qatar Classic Rewards Questions

While you can earn them on Qantas marketed flights, that wouldn't apply in this case since it was booked as a Virgin reward. Adding a QF FF number wouldn't change that. For Virgin reward bookings, yes.
