    Qantas Call Centre Wait Time

While not improbable, I wonder how often this occurs!! Like many other users, I am usually answered within one minute. Also, emails from QF website are either replied to within an hour or so - or I get a call the next business day (as I usually send them after 1700hrs).

    Trans-Tasman routes to become "domestic"

No F Lounge in Domestic!!!! :p

It may be the GFC, but this is QF J

I've noted and wondered about this. I think it is to make the overall service more attentive and personalised. Perhaps they go to their touch screens and type in guests surname and put a note to it: Example: "Smith" - with partner wearing blue dress. "Jones" - the one with the three kids...

For non-SYD members - what would entice you to connect via SYD?

Off topic but: I agree with this and live in SYD. Recently I've spent a lot of time in MEL and have down a many MEL-AKL in recent months. I was in FL 0900-1130hrs on 05/02/09 and there were actually only two of us in there for the first 45mins. Excellent service... (not that SYD FL isn't). :p

    Determining best seats

The 738 doesn't have a bulkhead and Row 4 is my preference. Just booked a MEL-WLG and rung up to get 4A. C/M/T showed immediately... Now if only the WLG-SYD I have I could change from 6D

    qf upgrade

I've got another op up AKL-SYD on Monday last week. Travelling with a NS who also got upgraded. Its great to get them - but I never expect them because I know they are few and far between. Christmas flights are usually the best success IMHO for op ups as not many with status are travelling...

Whats your record for least amount of time in a hotel room

My SYD-WLG going to Wellington Rugby Sevens this year was delayed at Sydney due to lightning....then re-catering....then off loading passengers....then missing the WLG curfew. Got to AKL at about 4am... QF put us up near airport - I'd rung off the tarmac in SYD and booked the first AKL-SYD so...

Qantas New Check In Seating Allocation

I've had some rediculous seating allocations recently AKL-SYD and SYD-AKL obviously on a 767. Common for me to get >40 now. Its only a recent development...maybe last couple of months. Before that I was 24/25 EVERY time without fail. I go to checkmytrip.com and see what seating is available...

    Qantas New Domestic Business Lounges

Departure and arrival date may have confused the dragon when she looked at BP. Particularly if 30 Sept - 1 Oct. Bit slow....?

Qantas mag goes against the trend

Got mine today....articles are nothing to write home about. Plenty of advertisements targeting high-end travellers. A very nice touch however.

Writing to Qantas Head Office & Customer 'Care'

What status do you have with QF? Maybe thats the reason they aren't replying in a timely fashion (...if at all).

Writing to Qantas Head Office & Customer 'Care'

Perhaps they prefer to send the congratulatory 20 year 'letter' via email maybe you haven't checked your 1987 email address yet? DAMN....not a Longreach.........its a tough life!

Another upgrade question - whose points do they use?

And remember you are only allowed one points transfer every 12 months, so if you think his points will come in handy sometime in the next year...you might want to transfer the whole lot! ;)

Was it one of you? :)
