I was pleasantly surprised when I checked some reward seats yesterday morning. So much so that I cancelled some old reward bookings and re-booked in Business. I also inadvertently did a re-booking over the phone and it wasn't any different to the website :)

Does anyone know if the DSC offer can be used if we book our flights through an online agent e.g. American Express travel? I have a credit I want to use, but equally don't want to miss out on the double status credits.

Thanks for your input everyone! Slightly OT on my own thread now, but my WP membership kit arrived today and it looks marvelous :) The bag tags are made of heavy metal (grey) and purple plastic which has my details printed on it. The grey part swivels over to cover the purple.

UPDATE: I booked my flight then phoned up to book the extra seat for the cello. It cost the same as the fare minus taxes. Sitting in first row of Economy (10H/K for A330 and 3E/F for 737). Only thing is, they've ticketed the Cello as EXST / lastname (EXST = extra seat for personal comfort)...

Depends on the dates - peak periods and weekends will always be harder than mid-week. Europe and US to Australia Business reward seats are always in very high demand. Best availability is booking 330 (or so) days out, or last minute. Also depends on your status - anecdotally Platinum members...
