So what routes will VA cut ?

That would be a pity, there's only usually three a day to Melbourne anyway (compared to JQ's 6+ and QF's 3-4). During major events (i.e. an Ed Sheeran concert in Melbourne), VA had nearly eight LST-MEL flights on that day there and the next day back.

Do points only upgrades not exist?

Sometimes routes with points upgrades available can only be done over the phone. One example is Launceston, where any flights to/from there can't be upgraded online for whatever reason. But it's perfectly fine over the phone if the business reward availability is there.

    SQ question

I've found that as VA Plat, I've been treated fairly well on SQ. More than once I've been granted exit row seating on request at check-in. There's a new temporary Krisflyer Gold lounge which is actually the new Marharba Lounge in T3. It's not bad.

Mix of classic rewards and pay?

It's not the best value, but you could buy 10,000 Qantas Points direct from QF for $369 and then have enough points to book everyone on the same itinerary. Otherwise, you can't mix and match tickets like that between passengers for the same flight. What you could do is fly everyone Reward...

Seat Selection on QantasLink De Havilland DHC-8 400 Flight

You can select seats at online check-in, T-24. Recently as a WP I was offered 5C +5D initially, but could easily select the exit rows 1A + 1B or 2C + 2D and did switch.

    Velocity Silver & Delta

I know for Qantas, if you drop status before a journey, any previously booked trips may still reflect your old (higher) status on the boarding pass provided you haven't made any changes to it since. Members on here have posted a few examples of this over the years, and the boarding passes are...

Priority Pass - Change to exclude restaurants

It's the BOQ Specialist card which is open to people from several select professions and earning more than $120k p.a.

Priority Pass - Change to exclude restaurants

Slightly off-topic, but isn't TGM in Changi classified as a 'lounge' rather than a 'restaurant'? The page on PP's website doesn't mention anything about a dining credit, whereas on actual restaurant pages it does.

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

18 flights in one week ain't so bad... if there's another 18 next week (or even just 6) then that's definitely 'dozens'!

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

I've got the exact same issue too, but only started using C4C today. It was stable at 12 for the first hour or so, but now it fluctuates from 3 to 12 with every refresh, meaning the alarm is going off every refresh  Maybe it's Airbnb's protection against bots!

    Prompt Points Crediting

SQ to Velocity is always quick! I just did LST-MEL (VA) and MEL-SIN (SQ). No surprises that the SQ flight credited the next day and I'm still waiting for the VA flight.

Priority Pass - Change to exclude restaurants

Look up lounges in Priority Pass as usual. In the description, it will say 'one visit will give you a $36 credit'. Look up SYD airport for example - there are heaps there.

Priority Pass - Change to exclude restaurants

It's regarding a specific perk where you can redeem one lounge visit for AUD $36 in food and drinks credit off a participating restaurant's menu. If you have a plan with free guest allowances, they also get the $36 AUD credit. Entering normal lounges and eating the provided buffet food s fine...

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

Actually, no. The T&Cs say you can only win once. A previous poster here said they won two listings and had to cancel one. Of course, if you and your travel companion each had an Airbnb account, theoretically you'd both be able to win one listing..

Priority Pass - Change to exclude restaurants

Does anyone know if this retrospectively affects all existing USA/HK AMEX PP memberships, or only new enrolments and re-enrolments after August 1?

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

I think it's just a glitch in the app. If you view those listings on the website, May 2020 is greyed out as well and you can't select those dates They're not even the right dates for travel anyway, so if you somehow got through, Qantas probably wouldn't honour it.

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

It's only confirmed once you've submitted payment. Multiple people can request to book certain dates, but the first paid reservation will lock the dates up.

Qantas disguises first class seats as $20 ‘cabin in the clouds’ on Airbnb

If the listing is active but there are no dates available, then it won't show up in the search. The direct links won't let you book anything. If the listing is active and there are dates available, it will show up in the search. You need to reflexively book at that instant, or someone else will...

Hong Kong - EK lounge may be best F&B bet for QF J/WP/SG these days

I just booked QF HKG-SYD in First class for early Jan 2020, departing 6:25pm. I'll be arriving into Hong Kong from Hanoi with Cathay Dragon economy, landing at 1:50pm (so 4.5 hrs in Hong Kong). First the fun question: Which lounge/s would you recommend visiting in that period of time? Second...

QF domestic to Jetstar domestic - baggage interline?

Does luggage automatically transfer from a Qantas domestic flight to a Jetstar domestic flight? E.g. QF Sydney to Melbourne and JQ Melbourne to Launceston?
