Bumping this thread - does the Qantas Status Credit Calculator show the SC earn for MH J flights correctly- that is I select business class? Or should I be selecting flexible economy?

I used the wifi a lot when flying J MEL-SIN-USA return over December/January. No real issues that I can recall.

You should be fine booking separately and sitting together. I have had to do this a few times with the Gentleman and so long as both seats are showing as free when the first redemption booking is made, there should be no issue.

I flew a few times with Alaskan earlier this year, the domestic first class product, and really enjoyed it - especially the chocolate chip cookie! Easy SCs didn't hurt either. Only downer now is the change in lounge access based on flight length.
