Is the airports VIP lounge the same dingy room that Plaza Premium lounge used early last year during their refit? Nearly everything was horrible..... Plaza's new lounge is a big improvment if you can't access these alternate lounges at KLIA though they don't have any showers.

I used to have similar problems to this when flying Air China and getting miles credited to my SQ account. It would pay to check that your frequent flyer account has any middle names mentioned because the air ticket normally would mention your middle name. Seemed to the Chinese playing it safe...

may be too late for you but if you are a frequent visitor to Hong Kong you should apply for the frequent visitor card and you can clear immigration in a few minutes rather than risk the long line.

I have a number of enrich miles that are stagnant now that MAS joined One World and I prefer to collect on Qantas. I think best to use them up on flight upgrades but the Enrich system doesn't seem to show an upgrade calculator, does anyone know the approximate cost for say KUL to BNE as Y to J?

Fully agree on Chinese lounges being substandard given the rest of the Sing Air product with cold ordinary food and warm beer. The cleaner in the toilet is often asleep, picking his nose or watching you use the facilities. I suspect that BGS are a state owned company, its the only logical...
