Melbourne is the only place I've seen carry on being weighed. Everywhere esle it seems that responsibility is left to the gate staff/cabin crew. I've always thought the MEL arrangement was odd as different airlines have different rules (eg. QF = 7kg, JQ = 10kg). WT

I had a similar experience trying to get some MH 'partner' points credited. I think it ended up being 6-7 months after the flight that I actually got the points ! Keep trying. Eventually it will happen. WT

My understanding is that noise cancelling headsets have been reclassified (at QF at least) as an electronic device that is unrestricted from use. Similar to a calculator and camera. The 'pen pusher' referred to above clearly does some work ! WT
