    It is hard to believe they'd leave it as cheap (in terms of annual fee, transaction fees and exchange rates) as it is while adding any other features, so ditto - really rather they don't fiddle with it and make it more expensive and instead release a new product.

    Dunno how people are getting such bad rates with BankWest, I'm getting ~0% fees/forex/etc according to xe.com/ccc/ (ranges from 0.5% to -0.5%, which I'm assuming are rounding errors). Who has a) actually tried a purchase b) put it through xe.com/ccc/ and c) got a rate worse than 0.1%?

    eh? citibank plus transaction is free and means you won't pay any finance fees. bankwest platinum has no forex fees either.

    Are you getting reimbursed for these purchases? If not, how do you deal with HSBC charging a few % forex fee, which in almost all cases is more than the points are worth?

    Agree the Jetstar card online banking thing is terrible, but the Woolworths one is at least as bad - no way to automate logins, no way to export transactions, also has a terrible UI. Also Woolworths may be a platinum card, but it has none of the insurance stuff you usually get with a platinum...

    yep, agree on both. such a shame, since they're both otherwise quite good value and seem targeted at the sort of people who would be using some sort of financial software.

    frustratingly, it's Macquarie Bank issuing it - presumably they have a functional Internet banking system that they could let us use instead of the amazingly bad one they seemingly wrote just to whitelabel.

    the online banking is terrible - and appears there's no way to get transaction data out for import into something else - argh! I just assumed all cards had such basic stuff available...
