    pretty sure that Visa doesn't have a minimum credit limit for Signature, just a rule that it has to be higher than Platinum and, iirc, that they shouldn't decline transactions that would take you over.

    they seem very unwilling to give you a limit below $15k for signature (ie everyone appears to have such requests refused). perhaps they'd temporarily lower it once you had it, though.

    eh? you already have a credit application on your file, so cancelling it won't help with that. from March or April 2014, though, with enhanced credit reporting, the fact you have the card and it's limit will be visible. if you think that'd matter for a future application, just cancel it then...
