    Latest rip-off from Jetstar

I'm not sure why you're calling this a rip-off - it's not as if you have to pay for this (unlike ryan air, where they do charge you to check in, seeing as you can't not check in if you want to fly, why not include that in the base price???) To answer your question about is it worth it, that's...

USA for 14 days, where would you go?

If you go to the Grand Canyon, it's worth driving to zion national park in Utah. It's less crowded, and gives a perspective of canyons from the base looking up (without having to walk down it :D) It's about a 7-8 hour drive from the south rim.

    Paid Upgrades at the Airport?

On the flight I wanted to be upgraded.

    Paid Upgrades at the Airport?

I have with BA, from PE to J, and got a ridiculous price (£2000! or something silly). I enquired on board, and got an upgrade for £600.

    BA Terraces Lounge Athens

Plenty of lounges don't have their own toilets. It's hardly the end of the world. The Athens terraces is fine for what it is - a space to go before a flight. It has 2 computers, the papers, magazines, drinks and seats. It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst.

    Galleries Club Lounge Heathrow T3

There is no concord room at T3. Concord room is at T5 and JFK

    BA Terraces Lounge Athens

I thought it was closer to 45 minutes. Check the timetables on the web (wikitravel is a good start), it may be enough to get into Placa and get something to eat and at least look at the acropolis.

    BA Terraces Lounge Athens

The lounge is post departure immigration, and there probably isan't any way to get to it from arrivals

    Platinum Vs Gold

I'd suggest you go for it. The some of the better F lounges have champagne as well, which is always nice before a flight.

'Fleshmob' strips off to protest body scans

But they're not protesting against the equipment because of the above, but because it may provide rather revealing pictures (hence the irony of their method of protesting). I certainly think you raise some valid points though. Perhaps if the americans, or whoever who runs that "no fly" list...

    Galleries Club Lounge Heathrow T3

It does have internet access (F does anyway, having used them, so I assume J would) and it also has a children's play area. It's quite nice, like a cut down version of the T5 ones.

'Fleshmob' strips off to protest body scans

Am I the only one who saw the irony of protesting against the full body scanners, because they can reveal quite a bit, by wandering around an airport naked?

crazy LAX-SYD on QF First $1200!!!!

I wouldn't say that my training is superior to yours! But my guess is that if AA have offered the flights on their website, there is an argument that they intended to offer them (otherwise, why are they on the website?). But I'm also sure that there'll be a clause in the contract that exempts...

US Visa question - Regarding court findings

Perhaps. But the OP asked for advice, and he's received a range of advice, it's now up to him to determine his next step. I think there is nothing more to say on the matter.

Not happy at QANTAS So called customer service

My reference to what was nonsense was the advice regarding you couldn't take baby formulae through. I assumed "do not make exemptions" to mean that you can't take it through if it is more than 100 mls (seeing as anything less than that can be taken through). As you have stated, they do allow...

crazy LAX-SYD on QF First $1200!!!!

Yes, our courts don't consider "fair value" when determining if a contract is valid or not. There are 5 rules for determining if a contract is in place: an offer an acceptance of the offer consideration (ie money) intention to create legal relations that the subject be legal It's the area of...

US Visa question - Regarding court findings

If you want it summed up in one word, then yes. From the start, I suggested that if he wanted my honest opinion, he should avoid getting a visa if he could. what I also suggested was that he get his semi-public police record, to see what is on the file. From this, if it is clean, then I don't...

US Visa question - Regarding court findings

It's relevent only to the degree that, if the OP wants to be economical with the truth, that there is nothing that can be used as evidence - so yes, this assumes being a bit economical with the truth. We're coming to this from different angles, you're saying he should be sucrupously honest, I'm...

Changing from D to A on an AONE4

So what would be the cost increase? Given that you're already paid for a AONEx, so is the cost just any change fine along with any extra taxes?

    QP Perth Renovations

A bit OT, but why have the QPs restricted the opening time of the bar? I was gobsmacked that the bar in perth doesn't open until 2, and I assumed it was all those miners that now means we can only have light beer on the aircraft. But I was a bit surprised when the Melbourne J lounge's bar...
