Interesting thread, I would like to add that I would be disappointed if Qantas didn't provide perks for their staff. If there are 4 J seats and 3 go to PAX and 1 to staff for an upgrade, my opinion is too right. Happy staff = Good Service. I think that PR is as important as HR.

Isn't the relevance who you are paying the money to and not the markings on the aircraft? I would assume that if it has a QF number on the ticket then you are entitled to One World access?

I am flying business to Orlando. But from LAX to Orlando I assume that it will be first class via AA as I assume they don't have a business class. I was wondering if in first on an AA flight at what rate will I earn status credits, Business or First? Cheers

I have noticed that the QF site has been up and down all week. I wanted to book some flights to Adelaide when they were on special but the site was down for hours on the last day and I subsequently missed out (I know I could have called but ... this was an impulse spend so the site being down...

There is currently a business class special to Noumea and the L'Escapade looks amazing. I would love to take my wife there.

Perth Airport has so many issues, the lounge is the least of my worries. Firstly parking at the airport, then getting a ticket and checking baggage, then getting through security, and then finally I can get to the lounge. The lounge generally has little food and it is hard to find a seat...

It would make sense they would bump someone traveling alone just as they are more likely to upgrade someone who travels alone.
