    Virgin Australia Multi-City Booking

Being in Perth I usually try and visit two office locations over East. The old multi-city was still inferior to QF (only allowed 1 different location) but at least it made the cc fees tolerable. Now it takes too long to book and as such when I have a multi-city booking I don't even look at VA...

An invitation from Lesley Grant, Qantas Customer Loyalty CEO

I received a PER invite as well - Must be because I'm flying out that morning and will be in Blackwater (Qld) that night....

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Had this chicken meal on OOL-MEL recently -however mine was served in such a small bowl that as soon as you even tried to cut the chicken it pushed all the sauce and rice over the plate and onto the tray! So it was almost impossible to eat (without making a huge mess). Chicken could have been...

    Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences

+ 1 - actually enjoyed the place (and there are no bogan Aussies) . Looking forward to going back (and trying Hilton) when I eventually move back to SYD from PER later this year.

QFlink NSW changes including a lounge for Tamworth

:p Excellent news - have to go to Tamworth a fair bit over the next 2 years so good timing. The airport there can easily handle a QC - there is significant state government and defence travel going through here and the flights are usually pretty full too.

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Status: Diamond Property: Hilton Sydney Date: 21-1-2013 to 23-1-2013 Rate: $189/$265 night Booked: King Hilton Guestroom (Plus) Received: King Hilton Suite Executive Floor Great stay - well looked after, received all published benefits, and even welcomed back by frontdesk staff even before...

Almost had enough. Is VA flight service sliding?

jb01 Indeed it was I :p - AFF members are everywhere Seating was so messed up on that flight and it became a free for all. The positive from the whole experience - I didn't have to eat another horrible flexi meal wrap but got a "gourmet" sandwich instead so made a nice change. --- Ausbt -...

Almost had enough. Is VA flight service sliding?

Yet another poor flight today in Y (PER-DRW)- they had the wrong passenger list for business / plat / gold and so gave away all the flexi meals before they realised and I asked for one. They then argued with me that I was not on a flexi fare as I wasn't on the list or did I change seat...

    Seat selection in new system?

Did PER-DWN today I was seated in row 3. oh and the only person in all of row 3 and 4 and 5. Then all the rest squeezed in thereafter. Quite nice really - that was until a bunch of bogan friends from the back decided those rows might be a nice place to sit....

All Qantaslink flights to depart SYD T3 from August 15th 2013

:p Great news! As a regular regional traveller I dread T2 - looks like VA will lose more flights from me now as I used to use them primarily for their curbside lounge check in (unless of course the alternative is only JQ) ....

    Virgin Community[/Communication] FAIL?

An update on this - my company (250 people but we do a lot of domestic travel) sent out advice regarding flight booking to select QF first and only VA if it is significantly cheaper, as it is not worth the time of our consultants or admin staff waiting on the phone and everyone getting confused...

Why do you fly QF (domestic)

Agree +1 When things go wrong (on average): QF = on the ball - know what to do and how to handle the situtation (maybe it's the experience of things going wrong....) VA = unless you are going MEL-SYD-BNE good luck - and this is from experience with VA as a platinum. When things go wrong...

Why do you fly QF (domestic)

Everything above - and point 3 is a winner with me - VA (outside the golden triangle) are usually terrible times or with terrible connections and if things go wrong - well travel plans usually go pearshape.... (happened a few time now) QFF Phone service is very good and quick (P1 phone service...

Why do you choose to fly VA (domestic)

I fly VA domestic now and then (managed to earn platinum last year and platinum will be earnt this year within 6 months) based on the following: QF don't fly on all the routes - PQQ-BNE, SYD-MCY, NCL-MEL and if I'm connecting with Perth I will usually stay on the same carrier VA can be (or...

    New booking engine is up

Noticed Multi-City Bookings have gone (something I use extensively) ? At the moment the website is next to useless- cannot finalise flight bookings, cannot log into Velocity, try many regional flights and it crashes and some of the (domestic) prices that you can see are making Qantas look like...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Yes - although I was given the email address of the lounge manager! !? Breakfast - Asked for an egg (as per the sign - 30 minutes still no egg - (2 reminders) - gave up. Don't know if they were short staffed themselves? (although there were plenty of inexperienced staff wondering around...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Two recent stays and two huge contrasts.... Status: Diamond Property: Conrad Bangkok Date: 29-31 December 2012 Booked: Deluxe King Received: "Executive" King They got right: Room was nice, with complementary water and some "welcome amenity cookies". Suspect it was not an executive room...
