Alcohol confiscated at Bangkok Airport in transit - isn't it a scam?

My post was more on the tongue-in-cheek side, rather than a serious suggestion that everyone gets stuck into their booze from the jetway to their seat....

Alcohol confiscated at Bangkok Airport in transit - isn't it a scam?

I propose that harvyk's grandfather's security guard be in charge of all future regulations regarding the carrying of duty free alcohol on board international flights. Most sense yet

Priority Pass Warning - wrong card charges

My thoughts are that unfortunately this will be a USD$162 lesson for you. Lesson here - if you have two different priority passes, make sure you've got the correct one on your app. Doubt you have any avenue to refund or recompense on this.

True. But I look at it as exercise nowadays (I don't get out much) Okay, in full disclosure if I can't be Ars*d walking I'll flag down the courtesy buggy and jump on that to get across the Sky Bridge :(

    International Airports- Best and Worst.

If you depart one country and transit another - the security systems will vary. The arriving country airport has every right to make you go through an additional security at their airport which adheres to their requirements. Can't see what the issue here is. Just need to accept it as a part...

Inconsistencies in airport security around the world

Belt and shoes (especially shoes) is certainly inconsistent - I always remove belt ahead of approaching security, but leave my shoes on. Lately have refused to remove my lace up shoes (mostly SE Asian airports) as it is a pain in the a$$ to put them back on again (tall and fat ^__^ ) Haven't...

    International Airports- Best and Worst.

BKK gets a lot of negative reviews on the local forums here in Thailand and SE Asia. Most complaints are exaggerations about the Immigration waiting time (I am still yet to experience the hours of waiting constantly posted. Any queue seems to make the waiting time suddenly triple in people's...

    International Airports- Best and Worst.

Can't understand this analogy either. Airport security is a given. And it may happen twice in some airports. Hard to see it as a kick in the family jewels? (then again we didn't have a lot of jewellery in my family. Oh, wait..)

Difference between hating a new airport and managing it, the first time you arrive (IMHO)? Research. Like any other travel nerd here, I do my research before transiting/arriving at a new airport. My first experience at Dubai was much better because I had done the following before flying - and...

No show on A380 between checking in with luggage and boarding

This isn't my experience with AirAsia at all, certainly not at KLIA2 (their main hub) Main screens both before and after security show "Gate Open" and "Boarding" & "FINAL CALL" and CLOSED and there is another dedicated screen at the Gate itself showing flight number destination and whether the...
