Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

Does anyone believe Wayne Carey when he said that he will be allowed back into the USA, it's just because he filled out the form incorrectly? He and his lawyer are saying that it has nothing to do with his arrests. I fail to see how that could be so seeing as though the USA has strict rules...

What is the best way of getting into USA with criminal history

I agree but at the same time there is no harm in trying. The only option you have considering the circumstances is to simply apply for a visa and hope for the best. Good luck with it all!

Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

Re. NZ entry - Looks like that is only if you have had jail time that you would need to get a visa to travel there. Well looks like Wayne has to apply for a visa now to go to NZ as well seeing as though on of their questions is whether or not you have been deported from any country. It's not...

Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

Might I just add how pleased and happy I was to read that Wayne Carey was refused entry into the USA. Does he really think he is above the law? Does he think that he is superior to everyone else? I don't think so! Did he really think he would even be allowed into the USA with his prior...

Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

Nope, as far as I know, it's only the USA and Canada that have the 5 year ban. Other countries don't..........yet.

Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

It doesn't matter how small or big the crime is, you still have to wait the 5 years and even if you were convicted of the crime, you can still try to apply for a visa after 5 years. Of course if you were not convicted then you do not have to wait 5 years, but any convcition, recorded or not...

Criminal record and obtaining a US visa

If it's been over 5 years since the court date you should be fine. As long as 5 years is up then they will accept your application. Let me know how you go!

    VISA Waiver Program to USA

Thanks heaps for all that info. So basically from what you have told me, no matter how long has passed, they cannot issue a visa without sending it to the DHS in Washington first. But on the plus side, they obviously were happy to issue you a visa and you had more then one criminal charge. Is...

    VISA Waiver Program to USA

Can I ask what sort of questions they asked when you went? Did they just look at your previous criminal record and say yes you can go because it had been so long since your criminal past? Was it pretty easy to get?

    VISA Waiver Program to USA

Thanks for writing back. Did you get your visa approved? Maybe that's why they kept your police record cause I know when I went they didn't keep my police record. I'm pretty sure though that they would want originals each time. When you apply for a fingerprint check the officer on the phone...

    VISA Waiver Program to USA

zetski210 - That's not true. If you apply for a fingerprint / criminal record check , even if you were charged with something but did not get a criminal record it will still show up as "no disclosable court outcomes". Trust me, I know, that's what mine shows up as. It says very clearly on the...

    VISA Waiver Program to USA

Does anyone know why Canada is as strict as the US with criminal charges. I was looking at the Canadian Embassy and you have to fill in a long form, bring in your police records, references etc. etc., it's even worse than applying for a US visa if you have criminal charges plus more expensive...

    Payment to enter Thailand ??

Hi there, does anyone know if you have to pay an entry fee to enter Bangkok ? My travel agent told me that from what she remembered she had to pay 500 Baht to enter but never had to fill out a entry immigration card ?? That doesn't sound right to me but please let me know if it's true. Thanks...

    USA Visa Denial Query

Thx 4 writing back Bundy Bear. From what you and others have written I think it's better to just wait the 5 yrs and try reapply then. It's probably the safest option. I don't understand your answer to question 2. What do you mean "If it is a legit situation it wont hurt you" ? Thanks, Steve

    USA Visa Denial Query

Amy Winehouse wasn't allowed in the US. From what I know, they are strict with common people as well as well known people, that's just the way the US works unfortunately.
