Nope, as far as I know, it's only the USA and Canada that have the 5 year ban. Other countries don't..........yet.

It doesn't matter how small or big the crime is, you still have to wait the 5 years and even if you were convicted of the crime, you can still try to apply for a visa after 5 years. Of course if you were not convicted then you do not have to wait 5 years, but any convcition, recorded or not...

If it's been over 5 years since the court date you should be fine. As long as 5 years is up then they will accept your application. Let me know how you go!

Can I ask what sort of questions they asked when you went? Did they just look at your previous criminal record and say yes you can go because it had been so long since your criminal past? Was it pretty easy to get?
