    How is it incredibly stupid? It's not vax/no-vax which dominates the reason for ICU - but age and underlying health. Agreed if you are in either of those two cohorts getting vaccinated is probably a good idea. But the survivability rate is still high without vaccination in those cohorts, and...

    Indeed. My missus travelling mid-month, although the French have thrown a curve-ball with their recently announced booster policy. No booster (if >9 months since 2nd shot) - no entry.

    I observed around 5% non-mask wearers at SYD and MEL a couple of weeks ago - so hopefully common sense will prevail soon. In the meantime, exemptions are relatively easy to justify..
