I flew PER-SIN-MEL last week on QF. Booked online via their multi-city option. Ticketed into the lowest red e deal on the way up, and "V" on the way back. It priced out (as would seem reasonable) around half way between the PER-SIN-PER & MEL-SIN-MEL flight options available for my travel...

Perhaps also, an unfortunate lack of terminal space, let alone "premium service space" on the ground. Assuming their strategy in Oz, would be the same as Qantas' in NZ, flying only major domestic trunk routes.

Surely the question has to be, who would want to be a majority shareholder of a business which is virtually controlled by the minority shareholder [via strict licensing & management agreements]? Additionally, that smaller shareholder has demonstrated that it prioritises its own brand value...
