    Travel outside business hours

Unfortunately I work for a company that doesn't pay me for travelling on my time. Most travel is done out of hours so it doesn't eat into the working day - their choice, not mine. I tend to lose a lot of Sundays and Friday nights travelling this way

    Generation X Y and boomer discussions ...

Sure, every generation has them. I totally agree with that, but from my experience the Gen-Yers are least likely to do the hard and dirty work. I have trouble getting Gen-Yers to travel. Most of them do one trip and then no longer see the glamourous travelling lifestyle and refuse.

    Generation X Y and boomer discussions ...

This is beginning to sound like another forum I read... GHPC. I think 2009 is going to be difficult for everybody; not just boomers, Gen-X or Gen-Y. The strong from every generation will survive while the weaker struggle. As for Gen-Y tapping into the wealth of the boomer parents, I...

Charities that accept Amex online donations

The number of points will be quite low. I donated to approx 12 charities so under the 5T/5k promo would yeild approx 12000 bonus points, plus the total $ amount of the donations. Enough for 2 x $50 donations via Membership Rewards. This could work out nicely if someone was to donate $5 to each...

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Enrolled pre 20 Sept to MYREWARDS and only MYREWARDS - no invitation postcard. Received a letter stating I have been retrospectively moved to the 10T/5K promo. No bonus (bonii) since 18 Sept.

Best use of reward points ?

It did. I was going to give HN a call and see what the outright price is on one of these. It's not bad at all really. I needed a new phone so it was a lot easier and cheaper than buying some piece of junk for $100. I'm guessing that seeing you knew it was the plum model and came from HN...

Best use of reward points ?

It certainly is the plum model. To me it is better value as I prefer the slider form over the candybar N82. Both phones seem to have similar features. In terms of $ value, I'm not sure. I would only be assuming that they are the same $ value. However, the N95 has been replaced by the N96 so...

Best use of reward points ?

Interesting. I redeemed the N82 at 16100 points a week ago. Today I received a package and inside is a nice new N95. No complaints here! Grab this while you can people.

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

snufl, I did not! Which is why I thought I would call to confirm what is happening. I'm really not sure whether I believe the cust service rep after all the information I have read here. I guess all I can do is sit tight and wait. At the end of the day, I was not invited to take part of...

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

I just got off the phone with Amex as I was checking that I was still enrolled in the promo. Thankfully it looks like I'm still on the uncapped MYREWARDS. The only interesting thing I have to report was the customer service rep stated they are thinking of flicking the switch so the bonus...

Citibank upgrading fee free Gold to fee free Platinum

Looks like they are upgrading fee free Silver cards too. My platinum arrived in the mail this week. Something seems a bit fishy. I can understand Gold to Platinum but Silver to Platinum?? I can also understand a high spending Silver to Platinum upgrade, but my spend on the Silver is only 5k...
