    Change to SQ Earn Rates

No reply to my 2nd Email. I am surprised you guys are getting responses. Is there a specific Email for WP members?

So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

I had a flat in my q7 and what was even more surprising was that it was deflated to save space. It comes with a pump which I thought was pretty smart compromise.

    Change to SQ Earn Rates

3 days later, still no response regarding my flight from 8th March credited at the new rates. Just sent an Email again. Pretty poor service for WP members.

    Change to SQ Earn Rates

Did I miss the original announcement? How can VA announce something on the 12th march and retrospectively apply its new rules from the 1st March? I am out by 140 SC even though there was no announcement about this when I flew on the 8th

    Change to SQ Earn Rates

My W class ticket flown on the 8th March was classified as Discount economy. I have Emailed velocity to get it looked into. Pretty sure I will get the SC's and points credited but frustrating to follow up.

Qantas - Sorry But I Am Over You

nope. Financially, the company is better off on VA. Frequency of flights is similar. I am not sure how it would work on larger companies, I am talking about a SME which I own along with other shareholders. I never thought restricting a choice of airline for staff travel would raise so many...

Qantas - Sorry But I Am Over You

Staff only fly Dom (golden triangle, more like MEL-SYD). The only place tickets can be purchased in the company is through the accelerate portal. There are many companies out there that restrict Dom travel to 1 airline. Of course they are free to choose to fly QF in their own time (and money).

Qantas - Sorry But I Am Over You

Just vote with your wallet like what I did. WP on VA since and none of my staff are allowed to travel on QF. Discussing it here publicly is just going to turn ugly

Sat 03 Mar JQ Travel alert: please arrive early for your flight

FYI. On top of that, I got this message from VA (Only relevant ex MEL)

    VA to begin SYD-HKG daily

I didn't realise MEL would be back to overnight both ways. That's good news. Being VA, it won't stick for long though once more slots appear. No one wants their aircraft to sit all day at such an expensive airport to park a plane.

    VA to begin SYD-HKG daily

such a shame they are flying the same schedule as MEL-HKG. I've always hoped that they would fly them on opposite schedules so pax can choose the schedule that suits them with a domX. With the curfew, the only hope is MEL-HKG becomes a PM departure ex MEL I guess it makes ground handling...

Penang or KL for a long weekend

Any decent hotels within Batu Ferringhi Beach or Tanjung Bungah would have pool, beaches, decent food. But you won't get many local options within walking distance and most places would be catered to tourists. If you want to be near hawker food, you need to stay on Gurney Dr. You would still get...

Virgin Australia ~$3500 J class RTW ticket thread

My only complaint on 1A is the wall is right in front of you and doesn't feel as spacious. But it is private, you don't see any other pax. I still take 1A everytime I can though.

    Long Stopover in Hong Kong

Definitely Plaza Premium lounge. HKG is their home base and the lounge is pretty decent. Can get very busy though

15% bonus is back (between 1/02/2018 and 14/02/2018)

I regret transferring my whole annual limit in one go now. 3% is 1800 points worth so I will try to follow up. Anyone have suggestions of where to start? Velocity or Flybuys. VA WP Member

    What's your Uber experience?

I have friends that drive Uber and one of my staff drives it part time on weekend. If a drivers takings (before expense) is $100 / day. Something is very wrong unless they've worked for 2-3 hours. Full time drivers in Sydney would average $2000+ a week in overall and Melbourne Full time drivers...

    What's your Uber experience?

In Vegas along the strip. Even during busy times when I'm there for a conference. It is still most reliable to wait at the designated ride share zones at hotels and let the drivers get you. If it really is too busy, walk to the next hotel and wait at the ride share spot there. Putting the pin...

    What's your Uber experience?

How would it work if half the drivers are GST registered and half aren't? Do both drivers charge the same fare? If they did, does that mean when I go through my Uber expenses, I need to check each trip individually to see if it includes GST?
