Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago on an SQ flight from DPS. However, I do remember flying CGK to SIN earlier in the year and there was no extra security on arrival.

And JQ is even worse. Next week I'll be flying MEL-DRW (hopefully), and I've been checking JQ's recent punctuality on this route (via www.Qantas.com.au). It seems an hour late isn't unusual. Why bother issuing timetables?

FWIW, I've just booked 14 domestic US flights on UA. On 13 of them I will be sitting in 1A. On the 14th it will be 5A (Bus class on a 3-class a/c). But really, at a pinch, I would accept any first class seat. Have to say, though, I draw the line at middle seats...
