The Victorian one uses numerals e.g. 03-12-19xx.
Since a lot of the insurance anecdotes are from memory, does anyone have an actual policy or name of an insurance company that requires an IDL or else the policy is void?
JASA would be the main learning, but this thread has many other tips that I hadn't discovered before. I have been a corporate flyer with very poor use of points in the past, but now there's a lot for me to try.
I can't recall where I sat on 15 April in JQ612 but it was a C towards the rear, but I had hardly any room in front of my knees. thejetstarsource.com isn't working right now (wasn't aware of it before, thanks).
After a few months of enjoying the SYD domestic QP x 2, I just got to experience the SYD Virgin Lounge on Thursday as a paying customer, as Gold is some distance away. It was standing room only at 3 pm and the food - I won't repeat what's been said before. I don't get to choose my carrier, but...
I make a good living working on large corporate sites (am fully overbooked, so not fishing for work) such as this pair and such madness is fairly normal.
The problem lies primarily in corporate funding processes relating to any form of IT/marketing activity and in the way the website is built...
We must work at the same campus. :) I was going to say that the cleaners seem to be synchronised with my habits. Usually it is a male+female couple and they first block the entrance with a shoulder-high barrier to stop others from entering. Anyone still inside has to finish their business while...
I fly JQ612 (AVV-SYD) every Monday, so I have been in a few aircraft in different rows. I didn't note the tail number, but last week I noticed that I had a decent amount of clearance in front of my knees, while the other (starboard) side had shorter people almost kneeing the seat in front of...
It's impossible to identify my nationalities - born in India but now simply an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Kiwi for 35 years, Aussie for 32 years. Although I'm a native Indian, I'm one of the paler ones with grey eyes, so I've had the confusion *in India* of being mistaken for a Westerner...
They need planes like the cargo Antonovs, where you slide out the entire floor and overhead storage, seats attached. Get pax to be seated while in the departure lounge, then slide the whole floor back into the plane. Only pax in middle seats are inconvenienced. :)
I can't find an obvious place for asking about AFF Flight Tracker, but here goes:
Can we add an airline code "RAAF" - I have some trips done on RAAF planes
Can we add Boeing 707 - see above
+1 for vroomvroomvroom. In March I applied a code (for use in NZ) I got via United at the Hertz site and it turned out much cheaper - almost equal to the price at vroomvroomvroom without any code. Next time I will check VVV first.
Regarding having a girlfriend in the US and getting rejected for a visa...
Should, heaven forbid, the friendship dissolve, I would keep any evidence of that for future entry to the US. Otherwise, this hurdle might come at short notice when a genuine visit opportunity comes up years later. IOW...
Oh, why is that - leave and re-enter with the Kiwi passport when I also have an Aussie one? I can't recall when I last did that, but I have done it. During the 1990s I always used the Kiwi passport as it had my collection of stamps - extension of my time in the RAAF when I had a government...
I just paid my second instalment deposit for the Evergreen Tours cruise from Paris > Amsterdam > Budapest in June 2014. We got the "2013 rates for 2014" deal and a free class upgrade, so we paid for the dearest small cabin and got the double one. There is a new boat being built and it has a...
I was not aware, but the company rule is to book the cheapest fare, although they pay the extra $19 (I think) for a Starter Plus rate so I get some points. Thanks.
I fly on JQ612 most Mondays from AVV to SYD at 9:05. As there aren't many flights from AVV, the flight is pretty full to completely full. The booking is done by the company TA, so I don't have much visibility of that process. Invariably, my seat is somewhere at the back of the plane, i.e. use...
