    Buying AA Miles

I have made 4 attempts to buy AA miles to take advantage of their latest offer. Two were via the net and 2 by phone. All went thru initially and were then "unsuccessful" so I am at my wit's end trying to take advantage of the latest bonus offer. Can anyone offer help/advice?

    Buying AA Miles

Slightly off topic but we took advantage of the SPG offer to buy miles which were then transferred to Velocity with the attached bonuses - cost about $A900 after charges etc but THEN our bank charged us $A132 and treated it like a cash withdrawal which took the cost up to (let's round it up)...

    Newbie question

Hello I'm just a newbie and would love to buy some AA or Alaska miles but am terrified of getting penalised by one of the airlines I fly with - specially after reading this today:Welcome to Flat Beds. Real Fares, Real Service. At Flat Beds we specialise in getting you the best value business...

Emirates (Qantas codeshare) flight SYD to AKL downgrade. What would you do?

We had the same problem but were able to transfer (with no extra money or points) to BNE/AKL in F as Emirates are still flying that route. OK there is no great experience with entry to a F lounge like there is in SYD (I think it is a mixed F/Business lounge at the internatonal airport in...

Etihad "The Residence" ever available for miles redemptions?

No, actually I was looking at the Etihad site itself but was going to use AA miles if a Guest Residence might be available. As a "newbie" I don't know the jargon either

Etihad "The Residence" ever available for miles redemptions?

Hi, I'm just a new member and am trying to educate myself by reading old posts with a particular interest in Etihad so I read lots of your posts which prompted me to enquire if you know if The Residence is ever available for miles redemptions? I can see plenty of Guest First seats but whatever...

    Buying AA Miles

I thought Etihad was affiliated with Virgin/Velocity so wouldn't have tried to go to Qantas, but thank you for that info.

    Buying AA Miles

Thank you Rooflyer. Is ticketing sent electronically for us to print out or perhaps by snail mail?

    Buying AA Miles

Thank you Rooflyer. I have been spending some time reading lately and hope to improve my knowledge so I don't ask so many dumb questions. One thing I have not been able to find out via Google or anywhere else is if anyone is ever refused boarding just because they have a ticket bought with AA...

    Buying AA Miles

You are a legend! Thank you. I have had a look at the link you supplied and tried it. Does this mean we book through AA and don't buy the points and transfer them to the chosen airline? I note the choices on the site are Qantas and Royal Jordanian. Excuse my ignorance but what does QR...

    Buying AA Miles

OK Thank you. So their miles (calculations) are different to Etihad's? Sorry, I'm so new to all this and only joined AA yesterday so not allowed to buy yet.
