LAX SIN and LHR are the biggest problem, however it is bascially every long haul QF destination where this policy of not releasing seats in P and U applies. The most disturbing thing is that on lot of flights you will see the P and J cabin filled up with staff travel/non rev pax. As expected...

Thanks for the replies... I think in any event the QF FF will be investigated soon for deceptive marketing in terms releasing or lack thereof of Premium award seats - what is being done is nothing short of deceptive marketing.

QF likes to ensure First Class in particular is left vacant to ensure there are seats for non-rev staff...you're absolutely right about the P1 status meaning squat...I am P1 and have had very similar experience - my upgrade was from Y to J and it did come through but only hours before - flight...

Globetrotter - I have found DJ/VA quite good for premium availability to LAX...if flight is not too full you can pretty much always score an award ticket. I just wish QF would provide a little more inventory - not NO inventory...

Flew a domestic SYD/MEL/SYD yesterday and standard points posted same day, however the bonus points as promoted did not show. Does anyone know if there is a delay or will it be like pretty much every promotion QF does a matter of emails/phone calls/chasing to get it actioned? Thanks.
