Mobile Phones & Electronic Items on planes

Actually thats a really great idea - now I think of it this was on a Jetstar flight (had flown tiger earlier that day) and also the ipod did not out until the flight people were seated hmm one area where tiger may actually have a better routine

Mobile Phones & Electronic Items on planes

So I guess the verdict is better safe than sorry on a plane? :) Days later and the whole thing still irks me, its not appropriate for someone else to put me at risk (albeit tiny) to listen to their music. Ah well if the airlines were serious they would collect them or confiscate them if...

Exit Row - sight impaired pax?

Kate actually it is. I remember seeing it last night on the card, pictures of flames outside etc outside the plane (hey it was a late night flight and rather uninteresting) ;)

Mobile Phones & Electronic Items on planes

Actually a lot of people just have carry on. So this would slow them down. Having said that, I think thats all part of the normal catching an airplane. It might get a tad fustrating, but where lots of people move around its bound to get snarled. No biggie :D The issue of phones/electronic...

Mobile Phones & Electronic Items on planes

Actually thats a good point I never thought about it from the point of view of holding others up when disembarking I am just bambozzled by the airlines saying turn equipment off because it can interfere with the planes systems, and some passengers just ignore it. Either they know its a myth...

Mobile Phones & Electronic Items on planes

Just came back from a trip and yet again observed a few passengers blatantly ignoring the "safety" rules: ipods on all the way through take off/ascent mobiles on when landing Should I actually be worried about this. It seems negligent of airline carriers to trust passengers to do the right...

Upgrades with cash - how exactly do they work?

OK to cut a long story short :D Husband and I have an around the world trip planned for 2010 (I know still ages away) One of the options we are looking at rather than a RTW fare is buying cheap tickets for different legs and then taking our chances to upgrade. But I do not have any idea...

Free to good home - 1 x Qantas Club pass, expires end Jan09

Gosh I know when you give something away you don't necessarily expect something in return, but to not even get a thankyou  Its happened to me as well, not with anything airline related. Sort of leaves you with a weird feeling. Not that you expect choirs of angels singing your...

    The Lounge - Perth

Hmm I wonder regarding access maybe it could be a pass you could print off the net? Or velocity members could buy a guest pass like they do already but a "mini pass" just a thought :)

    The Lounge - Perth

Re "light lounge" how about a vending machine for the drinks? Not exactly sure how it could work but when you swiped your card maybe you could get a couple of codes so you could get your beer/small bottle of wine You could also put the snacks in the machine as well.

    Airline fires fat attendants

No they do not apply the same standard - as far as I have read. The news sources mention that recently a male purser got stuck in the aircraft toilet and it had to be dismantled to get him out. Oh and as for overweight For an 18-year-old air hostess with a height of 152 cm, the maximum...

Around the world airfares - still worth it?

Just after opinions on these types of airfares Is it still worth getting a "round the world", or with the increase in point-to-point low cost carriers should I just put the money aside and then buy as fares come up? Any opinions - the two persons looking at it are mobile, and while not fans...
