    I agree row 4 with a shadow is better than a full row 3. But even with a shadow I'm not sitting up the back if I don't have to. I value the priority aspects of status and am always in a rush to get off the plane to make a meeting or get to a job.

    I would kind of expect that at the rate the status pool is growing someone is going to bring up sustainability at some point and we will see further impact on certain benefits. We might end up getting 2 of the newly de-valued comp's instead of 4.

    I would send them a note saying you will no longer be staying with them. If they don't know the loss of business is unlikely to impact their policy. I would advise Amex of your experience too, in case they are profiteering.

    If there is a direct flight option, at a similar time, and you don't take it fair enough. But if you have no choice but to take a multi-sector flight because thats all Virgin offers I think it sucks.

    What class does a complimentary used to upgrade a flexi get ? This could end up getting the extra SC's too. That would be nice. Especially since the complimentary value has been watered down with the sector rules changing.
